Small mom and pop shop, great food. You get big portions for the price, fresh homemade bread served with breakfast. Friendly staff, quick service, over all great decision to stop in. And for the coffee drinkers, it's delicious
I stopped for lunch on a Tuesday and the place was busy. I was seated at the counter and the server came right over and took my drink order. I asked her which hot sandwich she would recommend, and she said Turkey so that’s what I went with. My food came right out, and everything looked good. The bread was homemade and thick cut, and the turkey was shredded. The mashed potatoes tasted homemade because they were a little lumpy. The only thing I really didn’t care for was the gravy and potatoes together. I know it sounds crazy, but when I tried the turkey and bread with the gravy, everything tasted good. When I ate the potatoes and gravy together, for some reason, it tasted a bit sour. I ate some of the potatoes without the gravy and they tasted good. I cannot explain this, but it’s what it was. The server asked if I liked my meal because my potatoes were left, and I told her the story. She brought me my check and had discounted it because of what happened. I told her that I didn’t want that, I wanted to pay full price because it didn’t make sense, and everything looked so good. She insisted and reduced my ticket. I added the discounted food price to my tip. This place is really clean and very well kept. The food really did look and as far as the turkey, tasted great. If I am ever back in town, I would stop here again to give them another chance as they had a very extensive menu. Overall, this place is worth a try, the servers are wonderful, at least the one I had was.
You're able to be so precise with online ordering, it's fantastic! Plus I put a special note in extra crispy hashbrowns and they did a great job making it happen. Poached egg packaged separately prevents soggy takeout. Super happy.
The wait was soooooo long and I think our server forgot to put our order in because tables that came in after us got there food before we did. We waited almost an hour for our food. Our server also walked up to tables eating food it was pretty gross. But our food was good when we eventually got it.Food: 4/5

Visited the Lakeside Cafe for dinner on a benefit night for the Mona Shores High School robotics team. My favorite is the Irish omelette with sourdough toast. Even had a tasty slice of the chocolate cake for dessert. Great food and a great restaurant to give back and support local school teams. I will for sure be backFood: 5/5

The food was mediocre wasn't super impressed what wasn't super disappointed Either.but I Left hungry because the portions were not very large. And to be completely honest I thought for what I got it was a little overpriced.Food: 3/5
Service was very good. Coffee was fresh and nice roast flavor. I drink my coffee black and had two cups. My husband and I had the Ultimate Lakeside Mess and it was hot and flavorful. Buttermilk toast tasted nice with my meal. Our granddaughter had chicken strips and fries with ranch dip.Her chicken was moist and cleaned her plate. We will be back again! Meal was $33.00 without tip and we left full and satisfied.
It's like coming home, the theme song for CHEERS should be playing: "every body knows your name". Friendly staff. Not rushed to eat and leave. Love it here Wheelchair accessibility: Caters to us older folks
