Tent camping review: 24/7 security, gated, well-kept private bathrooms tucked away out of sight from the public beach bathrooms, hot showers included, and pet-friendly! Great for those looking for KOA ammeneties for cheap! Free potable water included on left side of main office building. Staff is kind, accomodating and super helpful! Tent camping has 2 types: wide open space or tucked in the trees. Either includes 1 large licnic table and firepit some tire-iron, others grill. I picked the wide open space so i can stargaze at night and set out the solar panels during the day. I was also warned that the tree spots have ticks, but i didnt see any on my open space or any mosquitos, but it was a hot week in july. Movie drive-in, beach with inflatable activity float extra $$$, long lineups and lifeguards, and a beautiful golf course is just next door! Unfortunately theres no hiking or bike trails that i heard, i was on a golfing/relaxing trip. If you want a camping experience while having the peace-of-mind of security and staying close to civilization theres an MLCC in town, this is for you! I definitely will be back for a stress-free camping experience! Dont be alarmed by the moowing cows in the morning!
Nice hike by the lake. Stop when you reach the bench and return. The traill continues to the other side of the lake, from the bench, if you're looking for a longer out and back. The trail closest to the lake is less challenging than the trail which follows a line further from the lake
Went with my cousins last weekend and it was a great time. The beach is very nice and well kept. We found a cozy spot where we could sit either on the beach or in the shade amongst the trees. Will definitely be back!
Went on the shuttle from the morden corn and Apple festival the lake was nice and cool the water was well and green. Excellent bathrooms and change houses the beach is narrow but long. Lots of camping and picnic area.
This is a small lake with a decent campground and nice beach. You do have to pay to go to the beach though unless you walk through the golf course. It can get pretty busy with boats which is frustrating if you want to paddle. I'm hoping this year gas motors won't be allowed.
It's a excellent bike and hiking trail
ive visited this lake my whole life, as a seasonal camper there for 6 years up until 15 years ago, some of my best memories are here, unfortunately the boating and fishing activity on this lake has been unchecked for too long, and now there is no motors allowed, the lake needs an aeration system to keep it from growing too much algae as well. I still love this lake but it needs some attention.
Good place to chill. Very accessible. Has camping amenities, biking trail and walking trail
Nice campground. Very busy on this weekend in July but nice sites where we are camped and walking distance to the beach.
My folks have been camping in the seasonal sites for 20 years. Love it. Beautiful trails, and water. Now that they only allow 6 wake boats on the lake at one time, it's much more relaxing. Beautiful environment. Brian is doing an amazing job!
