I ordered chicken lo mein with extra shrimp and beef $4.00 each item extra. Took me 10 min for then to get my order straight after speaking to two people .. which was fine…. But in the end my order was such a disappointment. I asked for it to be extra extra spicy and not watery and with certain vegetables to be on it. I’m new to the falls and was trying to find a place similar to Nanking in st. Catharine’s … anyways I feel they missed the mark big time … there was no flavour, just very heavy liquid sauce which then turned into the whole dish within minutes of me eating .. very soggy and watery tasting. They gave me one extra small hot sauce package and one soy sauce And….. yup …. they charged me $27.00 for this. Indefinitely won’t be going here anymore and please I’ll ask Everyone if you want amazing Chinese food, and you can make it out to st. Catharine’s .. you have to try Nanking on Martindale Rd Huntington Plaza which is open not like they tried to tell me they shut down which I thought was an odd comment. I have never been this disappointed with Chinese food before …. And then to be charged $27.00…… which I never complained .. paid the bill as I was hopeful this was the magic place I was looking for. So no! Epic failure and will never return! Jenny
Visited here last week and the food was amazing! Service was quick, and the portion sizes were great. Ordered combo plates and egg foo yung. The chicken balls had a large piece of chicken in it which was great because most places have mostly batter. The chicken wings were crispy, sesame chicken delicious and the egg foo yung perfect. Highly recommend this family restaurant for dinner in Niagara falls instead of all the chain places in the tourist area. Will definitely be back anytime I'm in Niagara.
This is my go to place for family dinner options. Great prices, nice portions, good flavour, and owners are very nice. Cash and delivery coupon bonuses. Great egg fu yung Kid-friendliness: They really welcome kids Parking: Lots of parking
Awesome little Chinese restaurant in Niagara Falls. Food was delicious and the owners were very friendly. The hot&sour soup and the Lai special were my favorites. Will definitely visit again next time I'm here!
Fantastic food. Truly bang for the buck. Very well cooked, tasty and larger portions.
It was not a very good experience. Went to dine in - and I am vegetarian and asked if I can get a few dishes mixed to make one for me, one consisting of noodles veggies and maybe tofu. Right off the bat I was told it was impossible. To further add to that - I asked for mushroom fried rice- the wrong dish came out. They took it back the I got rice with cold frozen vegetables and raw mushrooms cut in two - we actually pucked this restaurant because of its rating. We've had great success with doing the rating system for restaurants- there is absolutely no way this restaurant is rated 4.5 out of 188 Save your money and go somewhere else
My husband & I went there for a late lunch today & the food was EXCELLENT! Wonderful flavours & nice presentation. Staff were polite & friendly, can’t wait to go back. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Surprised to find authentic Chinese cuisine tucked within Niagara Falls. The owners were nice and were able to recommend us some dishes and they tasted rather authentic!
The BEST Chinese food in Niagara Falls! Authentic Cantonese, fresh ingredients and large portions. Highly recommend ordering a dish or two from “The Lai Family special features” - Cantonese chow mein and Sizzling Peking Beef are to die for. Lovely family run business. Clean, comfortable, can’t say enough!
Ordered Lai's for the first time and it will definitely NOT be the last time. Food was fantastic. Huge portions. Ribs were great, lots of meat on them.
