Ladner Centre Medical - Denning Health Group

I’ve only been here a handful of times, only when I have really needed to see a doctor but couldn’t wait for an appointment with my regular family physician. Each time has been a good experience. My last visit was with Dr. Li, and she was friendly, did a good check up and sent me on my way with a prescription that I’m happy I got started on. I didn’t feel rushed or that she wasn’t fully paying attention to what I was saying. She answered my questions in a kind and knowledgeable way. It seems like they’re a very busy clinic, merging regular patients and walk-ins so I can understand how their tempo might feel too quick for others that are not used to that. The staff I’ve dealt with, have been very friendly as well. Got there at their opening time and so it wasn’t a long wait at all. Happy to have a walk-in option in town!

Dealing with this clinic is a headache every single time. - Trying to get through on the phone is near impossible. Often you get to the front of the phone queue only to be put on hold thus removing you from the queue but not actually speaking to anyone and then hung up on. - You have to go in person to try and get an appointment and when you get there if they are open during their posted open hours reception is completely chaotic. - If you get an appointment they book them 5 minutes apart. My partner had an appointment booked for 8:40, someone else had one booked at 8:45 same doctor and they got seen first while we waited for 30+ minutes. - Once you see a doctor they are rushed at best, and dismissive and apathetic at worst.

Doctor turnbull is incredible and has been my doctor since child hood. This review is specifically for the admin staff, often I’m waiting days for a prescription to be sent to the pharmacy after it’s written, furthermore the phone lines are often not answered or the call is put on hold for 30 minutes plus. It’s been over 72 hours since my appointment and the pharmacy still hasn’t received my prescription

Multiple awful experiences from sticking a needle in my painful abscess without numbing cream or skill I almost passed out the Dr did not know what he was doing!! Going in for concussion and the Dr Googled the symptoms in front of me, to having a male Dr dismiss my female issue saying, “ No I won’t have your blood work done, don’t you know this is a natural part of being a woman!?!”, and only offering an antidepressant! Messed up. Thankfully DR Ghent, Naturopath saved my life, costly but worth every penny! These are only a few awful experiences I had. There are more that are terrible! This clinic and Dr are the worst and I wish it would have a complete over haul . It’s so important to have a good clinic in town for the people of our community. Instead we get this disaster where the drs only care about the type of socks they wear and have no interest in medicine or people. Zero stars

Been going here for almost a decade. Used it as a walk-in clinic seen multiple doctors here and now have a regular physician. Staff and doctors have all always been polite, professional and patient with me over the years. They've helped me get to the bottom of several issues and offered real medical support that has improved the quality of my life. Initially, I hesitated to write a review because seeing all the negative reviews I thought "great, maybe those reviews will keep people away and I can have them all to myself as medical sites everywhere are overwhelmed and super busy."

I've never been so disgusted with how I've been treated by "MEDICAL PEOFESSIONALS" the doctor is completly useless who straight up refuses people he doesn't want to deal with, the girls on the phone taking appointments are cold, heartless people who will literally hang up on you for just for saying "what you guys are doing is wrong" you don't refuse patients because you don't want to refill their meds that they have been on for 3 years keeping them alive. This place should be shut down..it's completly useless and the only walk in clinic in the area, might aswell spend your time going to Vancouver or Richmond because you will not get the help you need here.

Very poor telephone service. Person was rude and would NOT listen at all. They are NOT even my own doctors and when I tried to explain I was rudely lectured to.

Drove all the way from kits to have a prescription I've had my whole life filled, only to be told they will not be filling any more of my prescriptions and to find another clinic.

terrible receptionist and service. I’ve been taking medication more than three times here but whenever I go to the pharmacy my prescription hasn’t been sent. So today I came to Ladner from Burnaby to pick up a prescription and she said my prescription wasn't sent there because this medical center doesn't deal with pharmacies in Burnaby. Which is doesn't make sense. And she said I also have to come to Ladner and pick up the prescription. What kind of solution is it? Not even saying apology and not even double checking if the the system went wrong. If she is right why wouldn't anybody tell me that this medical centre deals only local pharmacy when I get the first prescription? That means Do I need to come to pick up prescription every time? That is not right. And I had to pay $120 to have a phone call with the doctor and this awful service came up the end.

I went to the Ladner medical centre today and had the worst experience. Me and my mother went in. We consulted Dr.Lee, she was very ignorant and didn't care about what we had to say. She was very frustrated and tried to rush everything. She did not even bother to listen to the problem my mom was having. We had such a terrible experience with her. My mother has a NSaid allergy and she did not even bother to ask about it. She gave my mother a medicine with nsaids which is so risky. Glad we found out that there were NSAIDS in the medicine. She should've not rushed and atleast cared enough to listen to us. The staff was good
