Gem of a place to spend the day with your family and friends. You can swim, boat, kayak, snorkel or just lie around the lake on the sand and soak the sun. The water is very clear and shore is very clean and well maintained. Drive to this place from Ottawa city is very scenic. There are two sand volleyball courts as well. Clean restrooms are within walkable distance from beach. We went here in July and luckily weather was very pleasant on the day. We spotted a beautiful momma deer with her kid and that was a sight to remember. Reach this place early in the day as it gets very busy later in the day. There are many picnic tables around the lake as well and few bbq pits as well which can be used by public. Dogs are not allowed though. Parking is $13 for full day. There's a playground as well for kids to enjoy. We really enjoyed our day and will definitely be back soon.
All in one package! It’s an amazing place to spend your days off. The picnic area is great with the bbq places everywhere… you can hike, bike, swim, kayak in there meanwhile enjoy the sceneries views! I like how the water is crystal clear in there. I recommend this place and will definitely go there again with the family!
We went to Lac Philippe on the last weekend in September, the weather was a little chilly but it was still lovely for a picnic and some kayaking. The greenery is beautiful and the area itself is well maintained, there is even a little playground for kids. Excited to go back again!
we went on 6 of august, very nice beach. It was clean, with picnic tables you can bring you're BBQ. the parking cost 13$ for all day, lifeguard on duty from 10-18 the water was worm and the view was breath taking! bring your anti mosquito spray. plan your arrive a head, the parking was full at 13:00 pm and was available only for campers.
Beautiful lake with lots of beaches crystal clear water. Trails are beautiful bbq and picnic areas lots of things to see and to do for the family and for single people. Pictures are amazing and you can see ducs and geese. It is 30 min drive from Ottawa down town. I recommend to visit it.
Beautiful lake with clear water. Surrounded by hills and so peaceful. This is my new go to spot. Rentals available - sup, kayak, paddles, canoe - though the quality of the watercraft isnt good, it's still worth it. A must visit if you around NCR
Very nice place. A lake with clean water. Very cooperative and vigilant lifeguards. Neat and clean washrooms. You will find sanitary workers working very hard for health safety of visitors.
Remote quiet beach. Has plenty of trees and benches, Fantastic for a picnic and small gatherings. I went after 5pm and didn’t find a problem
A great day out by the lake I recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful park to relax, sunbath and enjoy the nature with family.
awesome week-end, very clean place, parent beach is also clean note that if you go there with friend and if you have 2 vehicle they charge up to 12.50$ a day to park the car inside the camping and they ask you to park the second car at the parent beach also you should also note that is not an party place if you`re too loud/noisy they will advice you soon enough be aware of the racoon they will try to steal your food while you cooking
