La Puente Homemade Mexican Food

We fell in love with this restaurant when it was in Ogden and of course followed them to Layton. The service is always amazing, food is always hot and fresh, love their chips and salsa. Nothing bad to say here besides I'm sad they moved, but worth the drive for us!

We go to La Puente for our favorite dish, MEXICAN STYLE RIBS! The LA Puente in Layton has perfected the Mexican Style Ribs. With the delicous rib sauce poured all over the ribs, refried beans, rice and homemade tortillas make this meal absolutely incredible! The customer service here is always great and with a smile. The restaurant area is always clean and fresh. Always a delicous and fun experience when we goto La Puente! So what are you waiting for?!?!????? GO GET SOME DELICOUS LA PUENTE RIGHT NOW!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was fresh and it came out fast. I can't say there was anything super unique about the flavors, but that didn't make it any less good. It was just your typical but delicious Mexican food. The chips and salsa was really the only thing lacking. The salsa wasn't much of a flavor but it had good spice. Other than that, no complaints!

Without a doubt it was the best extra smothered chile verde burritos with onions and cheese that I have ever tasted. Order the three burrito plate, the leftovers heat up well. Seriously, you have to try these. They are OMG delicious, heaven on a plate. You will be mmmming during every bite. Even the price was amazing. We will be back...

We became a regular customers of this Restaurant After I pick up my son from school , we go directly to this restaurant to eat his comfort food Carne Asada tacos and I get my fish tacos. Shrimp fajitas and beef fajitas are my alternatives .

I have no idea if I ordered the wrong thing or what but I’ve nevvvvver seen a “quesadilla” like this. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled with the Mexican food in Texas my whole life ‍. But I did add notes to the order and it appears they paid no attention to those. Not to mention the staff wasn’t very friendly at all when I picked up my order. No “hello”no “thank you” nothing. This was our first and last time here.

Delicious food, excellent service, and great value for the $. This is the best authentic Mexican food in the area. The smothered burrito is amazing! They have incredible Chili Verde! Highly recommend!! You won't be disappointed!

Today was our first visit to La Puente Mexican Restaurant. Delicious food! I don't give 5 stars to Mexican restaurants normally because I have a favorite place I have been going to for 35+ years that is impossible to beat. I am giving 5 stars today because although the food is different from my all-time favorite, it is delicious!! The restaurant is huge. They have TV's hanging in several places, which isn't something I care about, but I want to share as much as possible about this place. Today, our group of four tried 3 different dishes. 2 people had the large combination and found it to be excellent! It is a large amount of food. Be warned. You need to have a big appetite and lots of room for all the food. Another person had the shrimp fajitas and said the meal was amazing! Again, it is a huge meal! I had 2 tamales with rice and beans. I deliberately chose a small meal and still did not finish. The tamales are excellent! They brought out 3 large bowls of chips that were made in-house and were lightly seasoned!! We all loved them! They bring plenty of salsa, and it is unique from any other place I have been to and also exceptionally tasty!! The decor is nice and the restaurant is clean, smells delicious upon entering and is warm and inviting! Don't pass up an opportunity to go try La Puente!!

Love, Love, LOVE! the food at this restaurant. I just wish they'd serve it with a smile! It seems like a lot of the employees are miserable, and it shows in their service. If they could improve this, it would go a long way in improving their tips and their ratings.Food: 5/5

I have been coming to this restaurant for years, in Ogden and Layton but unfortunately, tonight will be my last. For years I’ve eaten nothing but their smothered burrito with cheese; however, tonight’s burrito as well as the past few times I had their burritos, they did not taste well. It’s worth the drive to Centerville’s La puente, as I’ve never had any gross food from that establishment. I gave two stars because the staff are friendly and the service is good, but their food has been lacking for some time.
