I had a decent experience with the breakfast at La Prep located at the food court in Calgary Airport. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was pleasing. Perhaps it was the Early morning breakfast so I liked it, not sure why so many negative reviews. The only drawback that I experienced here was the coffee it was really bad at taste, we had to take it as it was included in the breakfast platter meal, so it was the worst one. The cappuccino or other beverages could be bought at a separate additional cost. Besides the fruits were just seasonal I believe, didn't get strawberries as I expected seeing the picture in display.
This was a nice experience for us. We got the meal deal with sandwich, soup, and a juice. The ordering was fast and easy and in no time our names were called and we were eating. Quite tasty for very fast airport food. It's part of the Aero Food Court near gate A11.
The staff are mean and they don’t do any effort. First, you wait until someone dare to serve you. Then, the lady was talking to me without any respect when I was asking for something not spicy. She said « I don’t know » with a lack of attention and effort. To finish, the wrap because I didn’t had choice was wet and full of water like putting inside a bowl of water. I really don’t recommend. There is a lot of different restaurants around. Thy another one if you would like to be serve with repeat for good food!!
Good little spot with some healthy options but watch out if you pay for an extra egg with the omelette. The lady making them wouldn't have put in the extra spoonful of egg unless I'd been watching and said something. Then she didn't like being called on it and put in half a cup. I again pointed it out and then she put in another quarter. So I got 2.75 eggs instead of 3. This probably sounds petty but if I'm paying for it why can't I get it? That and some dry brown half toasted bread with no spreads or butter for over $11. You decide...
We ordered two exactly same soup and got two different sizes of the bowls The soup doesn’t taste like beef barley at all.
It's okay for airport food. Too high a cost, in my opinion, way too high for what I got. I had a grilled chicken and cranberry type sandwich, and it was decent. Hit the spot anyway, for being in a pinch between flights. Had a few chewy, chunky chicken pieces I didn't want to eat though. I would have preferred to try their breakfast options, but they weren't bring served in the evening. I suppose this might be as healthy as it gets in the Calgary airport? I do like how they had whole fruit to purchase if you wanted. I would not go there again without reviewing again my other options.
Such bad coffee, it was the only thing open in Concourse A at the time, should have waited for something else to open. Worst cappuccino.
The team seemed very disorganized and stressed. Order printer not working and orders were messed up and waiting a long time.
Great food if you are taking a flight and arrive much too early.
Very good omlettes, muffins, coffee and more. First place you see once past A-gate security. We would eat here again.
