I've met some really great people by going to the Friday night open mic regularly. One tends to hear about other cool stuff going on so it can be a great way to meet other artistic folks. Definitely a very important part of the community!
Special. It's open stage with a sponsored performer so the talent can vary wildly. Donation based. Quite cramped, and you have to serve your own tea and coffee and clean your own dishes. Overall the place is a positive experience, but not for everyone.
Since going there for the first time in 2009, the Yellow Door has shown itself again and again to be a highly valuable outlet for local artists.
This place is a real treasure. With a sixty year history, this place is different from any other place in the city. I went to a Friday night hootenanny and I recommend it, people going on stage in a friendly environment trying out their acts, I will probably go again.
Beautiful, magical spot for artists and for those who love art and look for a place to share with others.
Cultural gathering place and home to several 12 step programs. Cozy atmosphere.
Cool so nice to have coffee , read books
Great meeting place. Very close to downtown.
A centre of goodness in the Milton-Parc and McGill community.
Grew up with the Yellow Door
