LA PLACE RENDEZ-VOUS

Came here for 2 days on vacation. It was very nice. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The food at the restaurant was good, but the service was a little slow for breakfast. The view was beautiful, and the staff was pleasant, but I would have liked a little more direction as to what there was to do in the town when we asked. All in all it was a decent stay.

The view was nice from our lake front room and it really was breathtaking at times. The room was nice and well decorated and maintained though the place showed some age. I felt the king size bed was on an older frame that gave a bit on the edges more than I'd like. I found the shower to be functional. I enjoyed being there but I didn't find anything particularly great. The employees were nice and attended to your requests as best as they could but they seemed disinterested at times. The service at the restaurant was slow and the server though pleasant, took her time helping us and spent most of her time talking to her co-workers in the kitchen. I'd give the whole experience a 4 star rating out of 5 because although it was nice it never even once surprised or impressed me. It was pretty standard at every turn and I found myself thinking, "it's nice enough" very often. I wished even one thing had left me pleasantly surprised but honestly it was our 3rd hotel out of 4 on our trip and it was easily the most middle of the road. Hardly bad but never impressive. I'd go again if only to see the sunrise over the lake from my room.

Was that for a wedding and stayed two nights. Was blown away by how beautiful the location is. Right by the water. Room is very clean awesome view from the room. There's a couple chairs and a small deck to sit out there and swim. Restaurant was good too. Highly recommend to try the walleye fish which is caught there fresh.

La Place Rendezvous is in a lovely lakeside location. Rooms are clean and comfortable but quite basic. Hotel decor is quite dated. Nevertheless, housekeeping staff do an admirable job. Restaurant is also consistently good and serves local specialties like Wild rice and walleye.

Comfortable rooms. We had a split level room with door to lakeside patio. 2 additional rooms on second floor had lakeside porches. All had lakeside views uninsured by trees. Good, prompt breakfast service. Our second overnight stay in 3 years.
