Amazing gem tucked up next to the skywalk on the second floor. Everything here is the highest quality and the staff is wonderful. One of the best eats in Des Moines.
Went to La Mie for breakfast. I got the smoked salmon omelette with a side of fruit and my partner got the turkey club. The smoked salmon omelette was so good and when paired with the toast it was delicious. According to my partner, the turkey club was also great. It is located on the same level as the skywalk.
service wasn't great. food was decent but got the complete wrong drink initially. 2 of the 4 macarons were broken
This place is modern, clean, and sleek. It opened up in March of 2017. A much-needed addition to the Des Moines skywalk which took up a space that was vacant since 2010. The food was pretty good but just be aware this place is a little pricey. Definitely worth checking out during lunch!
I just moved to downtown! I love this place. Great food and service.
Traveling to Des Moines and didn’t expect a lot of vegan options. While I wouldn’t say there’s a lot of options, the green quinoa bowl was delicious! Be aware that there a bit of kick to this so you may want to leave off the hot sauce. Bit so delicious! It was a bit tough to find, as it’s inside a building on the skywalk. But definitely worth it and I would eat here again.
The food is always fresh and delicious. They have recently added artisan pizzas to their lunch menu and they are delicious. This makes for a quick lunch as it only takes a few minutes to cook the already made pizzas and with them being $8 relatively cheap too. If you haven't stopped in yet you need to give them a try.
An amazing place to eat, vegan options and plenty non vegan options also. If you have not been up there, go to the Ruan building and take the elevator to the first floor, you are right in front of the rear entrance. The staff are very friendly and fast, you never have to wait long. Go support a local business that has made it through covid and help them get back to normal, while eating some amazing food.
Great place to pick up something quick and there are healthy options. My favorite dishes are the veggie scramble, Cajun tuna sandwich, salmon Cesar salad and the gyro pizza. I honestly haven't had anything I've disliked. The desserts are divine too - try the macaroons!!!
been going here since they opened. I love their Turkey club. Then last week go in for one and was told that all they had left was what was on top of the coolers for sandwiches. Mind you the sandwiches are just on metal platter ON TOP of the coolers. My daughter has went by at 8 AM and they are out there. So I want a fresh one. She wouldn't make one. After a few weeks ago when my supervisor had a sandwich with a bite out of it and had to go back and tell them about it... don't think they should be turning away business. I won't be back. too many places downtown to go to eat that will make fresh items from their menu. Maybe they should say we won't fix things fresh off the menu any longer???! just serve the warm sandwiches on the coolers... ick!
