It can be so difficult to find a delicious, properly cooked, authentic pizza in Montreal - but this place hits the spot. The restaurant is so welcoming and the staff is so awesome to deal with. The guy who helped us this past weekend was so helpful in choosing which pizza to get they all look delicious. Definitely grab yourself a slice of the tartiflette potato pizza to try, and don’t forget a slice of the deep dish!
If you want to eat a really good pizza you should buy it here. I love to eat pizza from time to time so I eat more or less from all pizzas franchises in Montreal and I can say that none of them can be compared to what La Main Folle offers. In fact, I can say for sure I eat similar pizza crispy and tasty and full of flavor only in two places: one at Hot Pizza in Europe, not here and another in Boston US. In Quebec IMO they have no concurrency. Althow I didn't tried yet, they offer also sandwiches, salads and pasta and they look appealing too. And of course coffee, at your taste. The local is nice and clean, and the staff is very polite and friendly, each time I left the place with a smiley face and joy in my heart, not matter how stressful was my day before. From my experience I heartedly recommend them, at least give them a try.
Really good NY Style Pizza, enormous slices, lots of extras, and good value. However, only if you eat it there. Delivery is another story. Perhaps it was cost saving measures, but the pizza we got was a disgrace - basically no mass to it, thin enough that light scatters THROUGH the slice, and had the texture of a leftover pie from the oven 12 hours prior; not even warm, entirely congealed cheese. The delivery cost $35 $50 after taxes, Uber fee, and delivery tip for the pizza, a side salad, some chips, and a Nutella mini pizza. The pizza was garbage, the rest were fine. I like this place but I will never order delivery again. When I reached out privately to let them know of this atrocity, they didn't even acknowledge my message. Note: we cut the pizza in the attached photos because the pie came cut into quarters, too big for our plates
I rarely leave reviews. In fact, I don't leave reviews at all as you can probably tell by my history, with the exemption of my own restaurant and yes I may have been a little biased. But anyways! "Leave La Main Folle a review" has been on my to do list for the past week now. And where credit is due, it should be given. First, the place is designed with taste. Second, the food is great! Pizza dough is thin enough that it's not too heavy and the ingredients are of such high quality, that you don't even feel bad you're eating pizza! But the service though...The service is what really takes it home. And its not even the service in itself which is great by the way. It's the passion and dedication in Paulos eyes that really gets you going. When he speaks of his restaurants, his family, his love for food, the ingredients he throws in and the recipes he's found somewhere in Italy. You can truly feel the passion, dedication and resilience it takes to run a place like this, in a world pandemic during the year 2020. It's truly a beautiful sight to see. You will leave this place with a happy belly, a smile on your face and a nice little boost of energy to keep you going through your day. Just enough to remind you, that life can still be good and you can still find happiness in the little things - Like the local pizza joint across the street for you lucky Montrealers or better yet, the one you have to drive to, all the way from Laval. Cheers
Hands down best pizza I had in Montreal. Whatever Mark is doing with these pizzas it’s working. Great pizza, good price and service. You’re not getting better in the 514 for sure. Love it
What happened to their ceasar salad? The first time, it had real chunks of bacon, nice big croutons and fresh grated parmesan. Been waiting to order it again with anticipation and this time I get one with no bacon, no discernible parmesan, tiny tasteless croutons and the overall portion seems to have been smaller? I thought I had accidentally ordered from the wrong restaurant and double checked. It's a shame because I wanted this to be my new go-to pizza/salad spot but now the search continues... BTW I can understand the need for some cost-cutting measures down the road to fine tune the operation, but wow. Duped and deceived.
Finally really good pizza that's not $25. Their scallop potato pizza is insanely on point. Size, quality and price will stop you from making your own.
Amazing place! Had 3 different slices, they were all 5 stars!!!!!!! Nice thin crust, high quality ingredients, a friend brought me and im glad she did! Customer service was impeccable by employees and owner, overall a restaurant you absolutely need to try in Montreal. Dont miss out
Very impressed by the quality slices put out by LaMainFolle. Tried them all on the first day of opening, Tartiflette potato rosemary, soppressata with a tasty homemade soppressata, cheese, and a pizza bianca white pizza. 4.5$ tax inc for a nice jumbo quarter pie slice. Got to chat with the head pizzaoilo Paolo, learnt about their 72 hour fermented dough process, fresh NY style sauce with Bella brand tomatoes. Montreal had been lacking in the NY style pie style, with mostly neapolitan options. Now finally a great slice shop!
Based on my first try. 5:50 for a 1/4 pizza Slice. I had the soprasetta; tomato sauce, meat, basil, cheese. Only qualm would have been it's slightly salty, but a good symptom for a drink to remedy. Great !!
