La Luna Rossa is one of Calgary's longest operating authentic Italian restaurants. Since 1988 Chef Benny Ricioppo with the help of his wife Terry, have served up exquisite culinary cuisine and shows no signs of stopping. Passing on his knowledge to his talented son Sandro Ricioppo and Manager Fausto Ricioppo, Benny's remarkable talents will be enjoyed for years to come. This is truly a family run business and when you experience it for yourself you will realize how Calgary is slowly loosing this authentic feel as it grows. The best veal and lamb. Benny is an excellent chef. Nice little Italian upscale place. Does not have Ceasar salad on the menu but the mixed green with EVOO is out of this world. EVOO is home made

So amazing! My sweet family enjoyed a fancy night out with this rustic and genuine gem of a restaurant. Excellent service, food, and hospitality! My kids 5&7 were on their best behavior and were welcomed like family, even given an extra dessert for their good manners! Love.

Words aren't enough to express how much I loved this place. It is a small family owned Italian restaurant and the chef treated us like his extended family. I loved the food, and tiramisu was to die for. Will definitely go back there. PS: please make reservations. Post Covid they can only allow people in if reservation has been made.

Great take out meal in these strange CoVid times!  Benny has pivoted his culinary expertise to providing tasty, plentiful and HIGHLY affordable meals you can enjoy in your home.  The Chicken Cacciatore was exquisite and at twenty dollars - the best deal in town!

We had an amazing evening last night.  Diana and Benni made our evening so special.  The food was to die for and the atmosphere was perfect.  Best meal I've ever had.  We definitely will go again.

Amazing little Italian place! Every part of the meal was delicious and authentic. You can see the chef cooking right in front of you which makes the experience even better. The chef even wears a cute chef hat which I loved. Would recommend to friends and family.

Excellent service! The food and wine were fantastic! Kudos to the family Dad is the chef, daughter is the server!

Chef Benny is a absolutely marvelous chef! His specials always keep my wife and I coming back for more. Great date spot!!
