We’ve always loved the cakes from La Grotta. We live from the other side of the city but we didn’t mind the drive because of the quality that their cakes offer. Until today, we ordered the big sized white chocolate pistachio and asked to add a greeting. First, they forgot the greeting and then once we sliced into the cake, we noticed the thickness of the buttercream, the top layer was way smaller than the bottom layer. Some of the white chocolate sidings were missing too. Not sure if it’s because it was the holidays or the inflation but the quality was disappointing. We couldn’t even finish the slices because the buttercream was so thick. Not sure if we’re going to order from them again after this.

Lovely little market to go if you're in the area. It's a busy market so parking is hit and miss but people are in and out pretty quick. There's a bakery, meat vendor, cheese counter, gelato stand and dry and canned goods. Fresh vegetables and other misc items. My girlfriend just got me a cake from here and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had. Will be returning to try the other stuff eventually. Would highly recommend going in and taking a look!

Best cake in the city. I ordered oreo cake for my husband’s birthday and everybody loved it! Thankyou Denardi- La Grotta for making our occassion so special. Highly recommended everyone! If you love cakes- this place is a must go!

I do love this hand-made ice cream. LOL you won't miss it if you have any chance to be here.

This place looks promising to me. Just grabbed something for a friend. Looks huge inside with great selection of European and Mediterranean stuff. Their pastries looks good. I haven’t tried their food though but something that I will consider one of these days. With ample parking outside. Dine in is also available.

Really great place for wine, dine, coffee and deli. This place can be a great hangout place if only it was open beyond 7pm. This is the kind of place we are missing for late night coffee and cakes and comfort food. It would go so well with our cold weather.

Great place for all your Mediterranean needs. A little disappointed that you can't buy buns, cheese sticks, etc by the singles. It's a Covid thing, I understand. Awesome cheese selections, and a great meat counter.

For the right price, you can get just about any high quality ingredients you need. One of the two best cheese selections in the city, and one of the best hot food counters Deluca’s does not come close. Your wallet will cry but your belly will sing.

Good cakes and deli. Fresh produce. Bought mocha cake but when i got home I cut a chocolate cake Staff got mixed up. My son was a bit disappointed bec he was expecting mocha. And, when I was paying cashier flicked away my card as she was trying to reach and read the debit machine. She did say "good day" though.
