LA Fitness

This place wouldn't be too bad if they just kept it clean. The bathrooms have a constant musty smell, some of the lifting areas smell horrible because they are not cleaned/sanitized regularly, locker rooms and lockers are dirty. This gym is not a 24/7 gym, there should be more than enough time for a janitorial crew to clean it up well every night or every other night. All of the other gyms in the area including other LA fitness gyms do not have as bad of an issues with cleanliness and sanitary practices. I would change this rating to a 4 if this gym was clean. I would change it to a 5 if they regularly and timely fixed broken equipment or parts of the worn out property. I would not recommend anyone to join this gym until I see clear improvement.

Awesome gym. So much to do. Great staff and the gym is so clean. And its super affordable. They do student discounts. Go see the GM Milad!!!!

My Glendale Heights club is amazing! Awesome instructors, great workouts and super friendly staff. Enough equipment for everyone, and clean facility. All ages and abilities catered to.

Pros: Big, lots of different equipment. It's the only gym in the area I know of besides Lifetime that has a basketball court and a pool in addition to a spinning studio and racquetball courts. The men's locker room is decent, at least. I've seen worse and I've seen better. Not enough to change my score, though. Can't say how it is for the women's locker room, though. Location- Can't miss it driving along Army Trail Rd. in Glendale Heights, and super close to my house Cons: Super crowded. Come here between 5 and 7 PM during the after work rush and there's a VERY good chance you'll find every single treadmill occupied. Same goes for the free weight area. They have a huge selection of selectorized machines as well, but those often go unused, which applies to me as well. They don't have NEARLY enough lat pulldown machines or pull up machines, though. The people who work here. This is what really knocks this place down to a 1 for me. Every single "free" trial of anything here turns into a subtle but VERY high pressure push for a full membership. They often distribute passes for "free" 3 day trials at other local businesses nearby. I guarantee this will turn into a push for a full membership. Same goes for your "free" fitness analysis, where they'll inevitably try to push you into a full personal training package at a cost of several hundred dollars a month. You couldn't pay me to go back despite the fact that I can easily WALK to this gym!

Super clean and affordable gym. Go see the GM Milad and he will definitely help out. Definitely recommend it to friends and family.
