Lovely place in the neighbourhood. I went on a Sunday afternoon, therefore the variety was smaller but nevertheless impressed by the quality. I had only a danish and a butter croissant, which means I need to go back for more items. So far they delivered on the quality. Bonus points for the lady at the counter. She was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that the place was quiet busy as many tables were occupied. Always a good sign regarding the prices and the quality.
This little bakery has so much going for it. Stopped for hot chocolate and a maple pastry and both were great. However, the desserts they had on display in the cases were even more gorgeous. The place was relatively accessible with decent vegetarian options. The staff were kind and helpful. Definitely recommend a stop.
Very welcoming and friendly service, great looking store, tasty coffee and pastry. I ordered croissants with my Americano. The only half a star if I could deduct is that the croissant was not as layered flaky as I expected from a French pastry shop. The price is great. Highly recommended.
This is not a bakery. Worse Croissant ever. I am French from Paris. I travelled all over the world. I never ate a so disgusting croissant in my entire life. The shape of this awful pastry was approximate and demonstrates that the person who made them do not have an habits. The taste was bitter and greasy. I did not appreciated their smell. I also tried a pain au chocolat. It is not made with Fresh butter and tasty chocolate. My order also included a bread and a pastry with raisins. All finished in my garbage. As a French from France, I feel betrayed that a shop takes avantage of what French do best: bakery and pastry to make money. It is truly a cultural appropriate of French bakery international reputation without the quality. You can cheat on your anglophone customers that know nothing about French boulangerie. But your shop is a genuine shame. This is disgusting.
Best bread and almond croissants in town. The real French taste that I've desperately been looking for... I heard the owner was from Quebec, anyway he nailed it. I buy the whole-wheat bread and bless the hands of the baker at every bite: so moist, so tasty, and I was told it was all organic. Do you know how hard it is to find real bread in this city? The almond croissant is better than any almond croissant I have ever eaten in France or the world. The croissant itself is not terrible, but the chocolatine pain aux chocolat is very good too. The products are a bit pricey, but not enough to make me walk away. The staff is friendly, clean and very helpful. I'm used to ordering on the phone first and they are very nice on the phone too.
A nice bakery in St. Pauls neighbourhood. The shop is large and spacious and they offer a variety of baking goods and sweets from croissants butter, almond, chocolate to different quiches and sandwiches along with regular coffee or if you are in the mood for a latte. Nice and friendly customer service and prices are reasonable. I will visit this place many times over.
Great 1st experience. Will definitely go back.
Really poor cappuccinos, would not visit again. I'm not sure they know how a cappuccino is supposed to be made, but there was no crema, the milk burned and the espresso pulled was watery. The cups they serve them in are terrible and the lids don't fit. The croissants were decent but stale but there are better places in the neighborhood for that. Ps: check the expiry date on the kusmi teas because a few on the shelf were past their best by date.
Definitely my favourite local pastry shop in Toronto! They have this lovely cheese cake and other varieties of pastry that you can imagine. The owner very friendly and ensure safety of their customers when in the shop. They have plexiglass at the cashier and handle everything with care according to safety guidelines. If the shop's busy, make sure you wait in line as they have limited numbers of people to enter. Also don't forget to bring and wear your own face mask.
Love this place - good coffee and croissants, reasonable prices, friendly service and spacious seating area. Great for some solo me time or meeting friends!
