Harry is the best chef there..we got chicken parm, hanger steak with fries and mac and cheese and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. It all was top knotch especially the steak and side of mac and cheese. Our waiters name is Alex. He did a wonderful job. Very attentive and sweet. Thank you for a wonderful delicious unforgettable time with my daughter and family. Highly recommend 10 stars
Went here for our Anniversary as we heard good things about La Cucina. Atmosphere was very nice, not overly loud. Food was very good. Got Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Francaise. Fairly large portions, each took some home. Service was ok, not bad but not the best we've had recently. Definitely would go back again.Food: 4/5
My wife and I were looking forward to a good meal on a hot day with a new baby at home and ordered takeout. The wedge salads were $11 a piece, and you can see from the images that we paid $22 for a head of iceberg lettuce that didn't even have the core removed, and a couple crumbs of bacon. We understand many restaurants are short staffed right now, but asking customers to pay for this is unacceptable for any reason.
Having had many family celebrations and delightful meals at Hampden House over the years, I must comment on our Thanksgiving take-out dinner. Excellent doesn't even describe it! Everything tasted delicious, and the house smelled like and brought back memories of turkey day at Mom's. That is a real compliment, as she was an outstanding cook. Each item was perfect. I have spread the word, and friends are hopeful, as am I, that La Cucina will be doing something similar for upcoming holidays. Oh, forgot to mention, since we picked up day before Thanksgiving, we asked for take-out meal for that night...short ribs w/polenta...amazing. Staff so pleasant and accommodating. Unbelievable price for amount and quality of food received. Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetables. Could definitely have meal w/o meat. Kid-friendliness: Had children for dine-in on many occasions, and they offered kid-friendly options. Parking: Convenient parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Observed accessibility Dietary restrictions: Chef would accommodate.
Great atmosphere and the waitress was exceptional and very attentive with a wonderful personality. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We went on Monday night for the half price pizza if dining in. We will definitely be dining there again.Food: 5/5
Went to lunch with a friend. I was told to order the Braised Short Ribs. Unfortunately they are not on the lunch menu. The waiter asked the chef if they could accommodate me and they did! I was so impressed with the level of service. The food was delicious with a more than adequate portion. Parking: Easily accessible adequate parking.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great for chatting with my wife. The staff was friendly and attentive and though I forgot her name our server was excellent. I had the baked macaroni and cheese without pancetta and caramelized onions. My wife had the shrimp scampi. Will definitely go back.Food: 5/5
Honestly I would give three and a half stars if that was possible. That being said, the following is what the restaurant did really well. Our server was fantastic. She had recommendations, was on top of things, and was friendly. The interior was clean and has a great feel to it. It felt comfortable and inviting. Our appetizers: Brussel sprouts and calamari were really good. My mom said her Salmon was really good and my brother’s steak was cooked perfectly. Where it went wrong? Both fillet orders were overcooked. The two orders were exactly the same but when they came out one had a lot more potatoes on it while the other was really skimpy. My wife got the wrong thing and it had to be returned. No apology. First drink order came quickly but second took forever and the bar was not busy. The bartender seemed to be complaining about work with another waitress. No bread?? Small thing but seems odd to me. The price paid for what we received was not good. I personally would not choose to come back.
Good food good size portions very good for takeout. The family platters have generous sizes and are well done. They travel well for takeout. A bit noisy inside when eating in but overall a very nice.Food: 4/5
Always a solid choice for dine in. We have never had a bad meal when dining in. Food, service & atmosphere are top notch. They do offer take out, but the take-out can be hit or miss. I'd say the take out is great 80% of the time. The remaining 20% it's still decent...just not great. Very popular so if you're going on a weekend make sure to call for reservations.
