Food is good, not extraordinary but good. Never had Ecuadorian food so good exposure. Kind of a mix of Puerto Rico and Mexican. The soup of the day was amazing though. Service is very good especially for it being very busy and 1 hour before close. Place is a bit run down and a bit priceyFood: 4/5
We visited La Colonia restaurant for the first time today, and we loved it! It was close to the Strike Theater, where we were seeing a show. We visited on a Friday, around 6:00, and it wasn't super busy. My husband and I ordered a plate to share, as well as an appetizer. We first got the Empanadas de Carne, which were amazing! It came with a wonderful, spicy sauce! The texture was perfect, and they were served hot! We split an entree, the Lomito Saltado. Wow! Wow! Wow! It was so good! A great combination of ingredients and flavors! It entered our Clean Plate Club! The staff was super friendly and kind. We will visit again with family and friends!!
I ordered through doordash. The bandeja paisa was really good. If I was to find something bad I would trade the Chicharrón for another fried plaintain.Food: 5/5
The place is a hidden secret!!! Very delicious food. They have wine by the bottle and a bar .Very great customer service experience. Don't forget to grab a cocktail...Food: 5/5
Food is meh, service is meh, but then they hit you without telling you with a 25% gratuity and they force you to pay it! If you don't look at your receipt you will get robbed with the gratuity for a service that doesn't merit the 25% gratuity!Food: 3/5
The portions were great despite the likely needing a to-go box. The meals were so incredibly tasteful we found ourselves cleaning our plates. An excellent pop of vibrant flavors that left us excited to try more of the menu.Food: 5/5
We loved our food! The Lomito Saltado was one of my favorite meals of the year. Great portions, wonderful service. We will be back!Food: 5/5
Pleasant atmosphere, pretty good food. Different, more soupy sort of ceviche than I've had elsewhere, which was a nice change of pace, although I wouldn't want to have this version most of the time.
Delicious food and nice service! We started with the soup of the day which was a hearty chicken vegetable. Also enjoyed empanadas and then the main attraction: Bandeja Paisa. The presentation and flavors were wonderful. Generous portions too.Dine in: Yes
The food was good and had good flavor. But who ever cooked the chicharron definitely needs a little more practice I would rather throw it and use as a boomerang or a dog treat. I would definitely come back though to try a few other dishes.
