La Cage - Brasserie sportive

Overall the place is a nice atmosphere, but do not come hungry. We waited 1 hour 45 minutes for our appetizers and another 30 minutes for our dinners. I attached pictures from the menu of what I ordered and then what I was given. The baked potato was an upcharge on top of it.nnI know places typically frown on American tourists, but my group felt like we were singled out from the minute we walked in. Two tables were sat after us and got their food within 30 minutes.nnI honestly wanted to throw an apron on and jump into the kitchen to help cook because it was such a waste of time.

We were in Quebec visiting family, came here for lunch, food was good, but I found splinters of glass in my water cup and had some in my mouth from drinking the water. Luckily, I noticed glad I'm not a child and was able to get most of the glass out of my mouth without swallowing it.nWe mentioned it to our server, and it didn't even seem like it was a big deal to them. We were not looking for a free meal, but this could have sent me to the hospital.nnI was expecting someone to come out and apologize, but nothing our server said sorry

Our waitress was a sweetheart. So kind, helpful. The food was so good. The booth was so neat. Greeted with popcorn to munch on as you wait for your food

La Cage is one of the coolest sports bars I have ever been to. This Quebecois sports bar chain was one of the most memorable experiences I will have in Montreal. Their ginormous variety of pub food includes burgers, chicken wings, ribs and loaded nachos. Every item is stellar and a good size for a hardy meal. The atmosphere of La Cage is unlike any other sports bar I have ever seen. Walls filled with old unique sports memorabilia, huge TV’s, base ball bats everywhere, which ultimately gives the bar a slick retro feel. La Cage is an amazing place to watch a sports game with a group of friends, or simply have a great night filled with great food, and loads of fun!

Where do I start, from the overall poor appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant to the complete and blatant lack of service I would rather starve than go back to this establishment. They made us wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for 2 kids pasta with butter, 2 burgers and 2 entrees. The food was luke warm at best, no flavor and what flavor it did have tasted like it came out of a can. The waitress would walk by us 3 or 4 times, never asked us if we needed anything else and when I grabbed another waitresses attention and asked for a refill she said she would come right back and never did. I understand that places are busy but my family were 6 of maybe 30 people in the entire place and happened to be the only English speaking people from the US. We were sat down before 2 other families and they all recieved there meals within 30 minutes of sitting down. Stay away if you want to have a nice meal, there are plenty of other places to enjoy a good atmosphere and good meal.
