Yesterday was my first time here, I went to see Jet. The place is beautiful, you can see well from everywhere, there’s an inclination, I guess it use to be a theatre or a cinema.nThe beer was 12$ a big can.nThe problem was the sound, and I don’t know if it was the band or the theatre.
Saw Smosh Reading Reddit stories live at L'Olympia for the Just for Laughs festival. Really nice venue, even balcony seats give a great view, as long as you're not behind anyone tall. The sound quality was good as well. My only complaint was that sitting in the back on the balcony, the AC was absolutely CRAZY, it felt like there was wind passing through the entire place, it was freezing. Maybe good for some people, I wish I had brought a sweater
A little cramped and hard to see the stage from the balcony but the seats are comfortable and the rows are clearly marked, all if the staff were amazing and ran everything smoothly. The bathrooms were clean and the lines for entry and concession were efficient and well thought out
I've been here a few times—it's a nice spot with comfy seats and super friendly staff.nnMy only gripe is the steep prices for drinks and snacks. I expect to pay a bit more at theaters like this, but $15 for a canned beer plus a $3 deposit for a plastic cup? Not cool. After a 2-3 hour show, who really has the time or energy to return the cup?nnNo parking, it's downtown and you need to hustle for a parking spot. Take an Uber it will be much easier.
We went to see Smosh Reads Reddit Stories and the show was awesome duh! and the theatre is a really unique venue. I will note that the snacks are a bit overpriced for what’s offered and the bathrooms are not very accessible they are on the second floor and when I asked to use the bathroom on the main floor a security guard told me I was not allowed but other than that, it was great!
