I love L’Atelier Patisserie!! Such a great environment, staff were so nice. Recognized us when we came back the next day, one of the girls came up to thank us for coming and have a small chat. You can just feel the welcoming and soft energy from the employees to customers. And don’t forget the pastries!!!!! The almond croissants were to die for!!
My fave pastry place? I want to leave this review but don’t want more people to know about it.. I feel like the new location is already becoming so popular? Maybe they have always been. I’ve only been a customer for 1.5 yrs :
This is absolutely delicious place for French breakfast pastries and our go to place for croissants. Every day there is a special, they don’t change specials frequently. You can order coffee and sit down but coffee would be okay, there are plenty of great roasters and cafe just 3 min drive away.
Hidden gem in the industrial area. Croissants are fresh and crispy, never miss their butter croissant, pistachio and double chocolate croissants. Love their lifestyle that only work till 2pm
I think I find a place which someone want to know this Cafe as hidden jam in Vancouver. There croissants was so tasty amd moisture and soft. Definitely go visit again
We go walk and then we try a different cafe weekly. We decided to try L’Atelier as it was recommended by someone but the group was actually disappointed in the products. I found the service to be mediocre. Everyone seemed like they were sleepy. One person didn’t know what a London Fog latte was - they asked me does it have coffee??? It was recommended to have the Goat cheese and tomato croissant as it’s their biggest seller along with Lemon ricotta pesto croissant. I found this item to be lacklustre. It would have been nice to be warm vs cold. Then a friend said okay let’s try one more item to see if there is redemption to save our rating - so we tried the Chocolate Croissant which we have had actually better croissants in Vancouver. Will this be a repeat for any of us? Not for me and probably not for them.
C’est Bon! A cute feel good patisserie. Nice vibe, good friendly service and above all exceptional croissants and espresso . A friend from Paris call this lovely place his favourite. I can see why on my first visit today. I am transported back to Paris in my mind as I write this. Thinking back on the lovely pile of crumbs my almond croissant left on my napkin. Yum. I am literally terrified as I now work a few blocks away and with my Parisian friend. I guess this is my new home when escaping work. I wish it were warmer today, I could watch a day evaporate on the rattan chairs with the classic jazz pouring over us. Can you tell I am lost in this moment?
Double chocolate croissant was delish as well as the matcha latte. Flat white was cold and tiny. All the other pastries ordered were just okay. Would give it another try on the plain croissant.
A beautiful hidden gem away on Main Street. I have discovered this amazing French patisserie, renowned for its croissants. It is tucked away in the area, and appears to only have outdoor seating now. I also purchased a matcha passionfruit cake for my friend’s birthday, and it received rave reviews for not being too sweet. I thought it tasted nice and fruity, without being overwhelming. The matcha complemented the passionfruit cream and white chocolate mousse well. I liked the wafer at the bottom too. I thought it was reasonably priced for its size and quality. My parents really enjoyed the almond croissants, saying it rivalled those of one of their favorite bakeries in town. I have also tried the apple and pear danish a light and fruity treat, with flaky pastry, cheese, mushroom and spinach tart a savoury treat, which was a tad small for the price, but very tasty, as well as the brioche bun a value purchase, buttery and soft, for baked treats and even a savoury lunch. I will be back to purchase more of their cakes and pastries, and to dine in with some beverages. The only reason 1 star was docked is because I thought service was a bit lacking. The man at the front counter did not provide candles for the cake, and they did not have plastic bags or provide extra paper bags for the pastries. I had to ask for another brown bag again to double package my pastries, to prevent the rain from rendering them soggy.
Love this place! Fabulous pastries and friendly service. Check out how light and fluffy the brioche is! Wish it were walking distance from me. Then again, it wouldn't be good for my waistline!
