I have to come back here. The sushi was delicious and my only regret is not having more room in my belly to order more things to try from the menu. I have such a curiosity but can I only eat so much as one person. I wish I had more availability to go for lunch prices but I knew what I was getting into for dinner and still found it very worthwhile. The service was amazing, chef's put together the sushi quickly, and seating was nearly immediate after entry.
My favorite All-You-Can-Eat restaurant in Minneapolis. I’d recommend bringing a group of friends or family so you can try a variety of items on the menu. They not only have sushi, they also have fried chicken, fried rice dishes, ramen and more. They serve food fresh and the service is quick at this Minneapolis location.Recommended dishesRed Bean Ice Cream, Volcano Roll, Green Tea Ice Cream
Good food, and friendly staff, parking was a little annoying and offering is less during lunch. Pizza roll was really tasty, definitely try it.Food: 5/5
It was actually pretty good we've eaten at quite a few all you can eat places. I've never seen an all you can eat with actual menu's before usually papers I set one on my seat and luckily I did because our server took them all after the first order Common mistake we weren't upset by it. But just a suggestion might be easier for you guys swapping to paper! We check the boxes and you can just grab the order and go The only other odd thing was they also put lettuce in a few roles and put their sashimi over lettuce, overall this is a pricy place not a casual dinner for most. We had 4 people and the bill was 100+ but I definitely recommend the tempura roll if you give it a go
Recently came for my friends birthday. Solid all you can eat sushi restaurant. Nice staff. Food came quickly. Best friend had a great birthday dinner here. Will return again.Food: 4/5
Never have i ever had a bad meal at kyoto. The employees are super nice and they bring your food out pretty fast. I always leave super full and happy
I love the all you can eat menu! There's so many options to choose from. You definently won't leave hungry if you eat here; if you do, it's your own fault! $28 - All you can eat! My favorite rolls are: Kyoto Roll Crazy Roll Volcano Roll # 9 Roll Tempura Roll
Parking is not the greatest here but it's uptown. I'm not sure if I was just hungry or what, but the food tasted better than their other locations. Honestly for the price you cannot beat the variety and AYCE. I love to eat sashimi but prices at an actual sushi bar are just ridiculous... they usually range from $7 to $32 for 2 pieces. Here I can enjoy as much as I want. Although the quality is not the same but it's at least affordable.
This is their “tempura udon” It’s tasteless, bland, the shrimp incredibly tough, all the batter completely unseasoned and no dipping salt provided??. The dipping sauce provided is watered down. I have no idea why the “udon” has broccoli, bamboo shoots, and cabbage in it. This is just not udon. This is watered down vegetable soup with noodles. I called and placed the order for an unagi don rice bowl and the tempura udon soup, and stringently clarifies multiple times that one was an Udon and one was a Don. I wait my 25 minutes to pick up, and of course they’ve prepared two rice bowls. Maybe I should have just taken it instead of facing the travesty of this fraudulent “udon.” I’m made to wait another 15-20 min, no one even offers me water, and of course not even an apology to me for the mix up, let alone any kind of reasonable compensation for my wasted time. I bring the food home, discover the fraudulent nature of this “udon” there aren’t even green onions in this like come on, and called to complain, trusting that I’ll at least be taken care of. There is a blizzard today and they want me to bring the soup back in order to receive any kind of compensation. What an abhorrent attitude towards customers. If you enjoy bland food and poor service, Kyoto Sushi is your next stop. They should be embarrassed to serve food like this.
I was a little suspicious about this place because of the questionable Yelp reviews, but my suspicions were clearly wrong! Their All-You-Can-Eat Sushi lunch special during the weekend was quite delicious with all the rolls, maki, and nigiri prepared quickly with good ingredients. I ordered multiple plates of rolls, which were somewhat sloppy since they're in a rush all the time but their rice was warm proof that it was freshly made. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a moderately-priced sushi place with friends at UMN or Carleton! I would've given a 5-star review, had the servers been a little more respectful and laid-back!
