Story

I established my law office in 1989 because I was passionate about protecting people’s rights.
I have over 25 years experience as a lawyer practicing in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County,
and throughout the north country as well as Albany and Schenectady Counties. My office is
dedicated to protecting client’s rights in criminal, family and civil courts.
Anyone charged with a crime or traffic offense deserves a zealous and strong defender. Children,
parents and grandparents involved in family court or divorces need a strong and capable advocate
to protect their rights.
After beginning my career as a prosecutor in Concord, New Hampshire, I focused on criminal defense.
As a defense attorney, I have handled cases from speeding tickets to homicide and almost every offense
in between. My office handles not only family court custody, visitation and support issues, but also divorce
matters in Supreme Court.
The staff in my office is dedicated to providing clients with the right combination of zealous and prudent
representation. The client and the attorney have to work as a team to achieve the best result. That requires
a personal approach to the practice of law. And that is what you will find at my office.

For over 10 years, I’ve turned to the Law Offices of Kurt Mausert for legal help and would never go elsewhere. Kurt has been practicing law for several years and knows the law front and back. His adept knowledge of law is matched only by his ethics and moral composure. If you have been treated unfairly, he takes that personally and works hard to set it right. Kurt is sincere and caring, but also knows how to get in the ring and fight for your rights.  Kurt’s support staff, Kim, sits in the front of the office and always provides a warm greeting upon entry. Kim is organized! Whenever I’ve needed an update on a case, or have had a question, Kim gets right back to me in record time with an actual answer. She has never responded with ‘let me get back to you.’ Kim is right on top of things. And like Kurt, she puts you at ease with her confidence and compassion.  I could keep right on going citing how amazing the Mausert Law Offices have been to my wife and I over the years. They have consistently done right by us, and always take the stress out of high stress situations. We are eternally grateful!

Kurt is AMAZING!! So helpful and very knowledgeable. He has helped me and my family a lot and with one of the biggest and hardest events in my daughters life when she was bit by a dog in the face. No need for even one star.  Worst experience and horrific interaction.  This is a very controversial attorney, but unfortunately with his clients.  I walked in to the office only twice and both times heard him fighting with his clients and being taken to the proverbial wood shed.  Lacked focus and worth.  Glad I could put this expensive lesson in my rear view mirror.   !!!
