A simple no frills hole in the wall deli with simple food, and large portions. They stick to the absolute basics and do it well. A triple threat shiner is pricey and not particularly healthy but if you eat that you are good for the day. Service tends to be pretty good when they aren't crowded. You have to cut them some slack at night because the place is next to 50 bars and tends to be packed full of drunk college kids.
Literally my favorite lunch/dinner selection in Burlington. Variety of foods, great customer service, fair prices and reasonable hours for a take-out only restaurant. DO CALL AHEAD! They're always busy, so save yourself the wait at the front and order over the phone 15-20 minutes in advance. I support this local business regularly.
My belly is full can't complain about that but the Sandwich was 15$ which is not a problem if it's a good sandwich but they charge extra for condiments which I couldn't even taste on the sandwich. Very plain small bread with no taste to it no taste at all from the cold cuts and skimpy on the veggies.. disappointing for such a high rated place. Super long wait as well. Just being honest here. Must be the college hot spot so it sells.. overall 1/5.
I used to really like KKD 10 + years ago. The staff can be rude and the the food just isn't worth it anymore to me. Prices have gone up, and the consistency and quality has gone down. Henry Street Deli staff is so much nicer and the food is better.
KKDs is a staple for any college student, or really anyone at all. I've been getting delicious sandwiches here for the better part of a decade now and the service and staff are absolutely always on point. On our last visit we drove 2.5 hours from Brattleboro, VT just to get a sandwich here. It's really the best place around.
When the locals say this is a must stop, it’s the truth! They have such a wide range of subs and sandwiches. Just one of those places that remind you of home and serve really really good quality food.
Good sandwiches, waited 40 minutes in shop for them. Not worth the wait. Order way ahead of time if you are coming here.
Never been here but came when my buddy and I were on a bike-packing trip and were not disappointed. The staff was nice and quick and the food was great. I'll be back the next time I'm in town!
Got a grinder which was not the right one that I had ordered. Not happy. 1 I received was good but I wanted what I ordered. Was disappointed.
Way overhyped by almost everyone I know. Sandwiches are sooo mid and usually drier than the Sahara desert. Can’t recommend.
