Nurses and support staff at Guelph General Hospital are the best . Caring, professional with the human touch that makes you feel safe and attended to.

I had a number of problems that was in need of a specialist. I was very lucky to have a friend refer me to Dr. Kottachchi. Even through the pandemic Dr Kottachchi as well as his staff have done nothing but their best to ensure there was nothing more that could be done on their end. Dr Kottachchi is very reasonable with his advice and of course, very knowledgeable. Just having a great specialist who has been thorough to ensure not only the physical but mental health of his patients. I would recommend anymore in need to reach out to his office for any gastro needs.

I have had 2 Endoscopes and 1 Colonoscopy with Dr. Kottachchi. I waited 7 years longer than any doctor recommended because I was afraid to get a Colonoscopy. Dr. Kottachchi made me feel so comfortable with my first Endoscopy that I had no concern booking a Colonoscopy. He is friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Through genetic testing, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation. By the time of my procedures, Dr. Kottachchi had researched it and knew more about it than I did! When I woke, I was given a 4-page report detailing what he had found and what I should do. It was wonderful to know my results right away. During my follow up appointment, he was kind and in no rush. He answered all my questions patiently and knowlegeably. What more could you ask for?

May 19/15 Had a consult with Dr Kottachchi and then booked a colonoscopy. I made a decision to have colonoscopy done without sedation and it was a good decision. A cononoscopy is not the most favourite thing to have done but Dr Kottachchi and his staff were amazing. They talked to me throughout the procedure and explained what was happening every few minutes. It did not hurt at all. I was able to view it on a monitor also. Was able to leave right after procedure and went shopping. Can't say enough about how great Dr Kottachchi and his staff were.

Wicked smart and very compassionate Dr. By far the best doctor we have experienced in our whole lives. My only wish he that did more than gastro-intestinal issues.

Very thankful I have such a dedicated and caring physician. Attention to detail and clear direction provided. Quality of life returned.
