Had a fantastic meal here with my family. Sweet heat ribs, jerk chicken and oxtail stew. Everything was great! Good value and great food. Excellent. Definitely will be back when we come to Saskatoon
Konga Cafe, what a nice surprise! I ordered just the veggies as a side and to my delight, I also received 2 pork chops as a bonus! And of course the vegetables, jerk porkchops and service was great.
This is some of the best food I have ever had. For dining in, the staff is quite friendly and helpful. It's a small, lively place that feels like a big family dinner. It's worth a trip across the city for a delicious meal.Food: 5/5
This place has friendly service and a chill, cozy vibe. The food can be hit and miss, but perhaps I just haven’t eaten there enough to find my go-to dishes yet. On our most recent visit I had the jerk mahi mahi, which was great. It had a really nice smoky flavour to it.
Delicious food good service, big portion and friendly atmosphere. Recommended dishesCurry Shrimp with Rice, Fried Bread, Baby Back Pork Ribs, Jamaican Jerk Chicken
Pre-covid...this place was da bomb. Just went back today, and something was off. There.was a thick odd paste on the jerk chicken and it used to be more moist and tender. Rice and beans were great. Big perk, though, the prices. And, the fact that you still get fry bread and hot sauces. Will still go back.
Honestly one of my favorite places in the city! Such a chill vibe with such great food!! Love yhe porkchops, the chicken, the goat. EVERYTHING. This place is Great for groups of friends wanting to hang out on a friday or a family with small kids wanting to get out for a night. Ive done both and have loved it everytime. The entire staff from the kids serving to the owner makes the night memorable. The owner especially goes out of his way to make everyone feel special, my young children included. Your water glasses and stomach will never be left empty. Its awsome homeystyle food with an awsome chill vibe! Konga is really one the hidden gems in this city. Kid-friendliness: My 1 and 4 yr old love coming here. The creole shrimp and curry goat were not too spicy for them and a big hit overall.
We absolutely loved this place. It is our new favourite “date night” place. The waiter was hilarious, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was delicious. I had the Sweetfire Pork Chops, they were quite spicy. It was a creamy sauce that had a slow heat which didn’t overpower the great taste. The chops were juice and cooked perfectly. We will be coming back here many more times!!!
Just delicious food and homely atmosphere.....Food: 4/5
Best place EVER! We absolutely loved the food and it was so comforting and wholesome. We aren't Jamaican but it felt like home and comfort food. We had the Sweet fire chicken which was fiery the jerk chicken. It was the best when paired with Jamaican pop. They also gave us complimentary fried bread with banana sauce which was bananas. The chef was amazing and super entertaining. It was the best experience overall. Best. food. ever. in Saskatoon. Don't ever miss this place.
