They have a great selections for yogurt drinks but pricey. I guess it is because of the location?? I like the store as it’s bright and clean. However, there is no dine in area. Other yogurt drink places have seats and cheaper price. If you need a downtown place with good taste, you can try this one. I order purple sticky rice and mango yogurts. Both taste yummy with 30% sugar level.
The yogurts here are DELICIOUS! Has a very subtle fresh flavour which I can only describe as being akin to the yogun fruz taste, just slightly. Do not expect your average sour, dense yogurt. These drinks are light and refreshing. I've been here 3 times and tried 3 drinks: the original purple rice, the mango, and the jujube. Here are my thoughts on each: My favourite is the original, the flavour is not overwhelming and it really allows the yogurt taste to shine through. The purple rice adds a lovely texture to the creaminess of the drink and has a good chewy but not sticky texture. I got this one with less sugar, and found it PERFECT. If you ask for less sugar, I find the drinks contain the optimal hint of sweetness. The mango is pretty good as well, and it also has the rice in it. The mango flavour is delicate but present. Do not expect a robust taste like a mango slush. Both yogurt and mango work well in harmony, and are well balanced. I personally find the original flavour more attractive since it highlights the taste of the milk more, but if you're a mango fan you'll love this. My latest visit was today, when I tried the red jujube flavour. If you're familiar with East Asian red jujube then you'd likely enjoy the taste, although it might be a hot or miss flavour wise if you're unfamiliar with them as they taste very different from your average dates. Again, the flavour harmonizes well with the yogurt. However, with this drink the texture is a bit more scratchy, courtesy of the jujube skin, but not annoyingly so. There is no rice included in this drink, so if you want it you'll have to pay extra 85 cents to add it in. I just drank it as is, and found I prefer the drinks with the rice in them. Overall, this is a place I'm sure to return to many times, and I've already recommended it to my friends who go to school in the area. The two who tried it said they really enjoyed, and it tasted so much better than they expected! The drinks remind me of drinking yogurt out of a glass in Beijing, so nostalgic. The prices range from almost $7 to almost $9 CAD, without extra toppings.
Seems like yogurt drinks are on the rise at the moment! Stumbled upon this shop while walking around downtown, and decided to try this with my friend. The interior of the store is gorgeous, with a simple menu to select based on your craving. There is a 'vending machine' that I kept on touching until the staff told me to stop touching the door... I went with the Hawthorn flavour yogurt, while my friend got Strawberry. I think that the Hawthorn was provided by crushed haw haw flakes, especially when the pieces I sipped would be hurting my mouth. Needless to say, I probably wouldn't suggest the Hawthorn flavour unless you really want that taste.
I really like the concept of this place. The vending machine is also really cute! In terms of taste, I can see that this might not be for everyone. I personally think it tastes fine but I can’t say I love it. The flavour kind of reminds of the time I visited China 10 years ago and had one of their yogurts the kind that looks like activia but u actually stab it with a straw to drink from. It’s just not something I’m used to Maybe it’ll grow on me tho!
Absolutely loved this place!!! I got the mango and honeydew yogurt drinks and THEY'RE AMAZING, probably one of my favorite spots to go to get yogurt drinks ever yes that's right. I like it better than chewgurt yomie! Their purple rice is also really good, you can tell they cooked it fresh for you. The coolest part is they have a speakeasy bar in the back!
The store was trendy and clean. Yogurt was great and unique. We got the purple rice and lychee. I would recommend the purple rice more which tasted great. Found the yogurt a bit higher priced than regular bbt but the drink is different to justify the extra cost
I got the purple kome. It tasted fresh and well made, kind of like what you would expect if they had a cow in the back hooked up to a food processor. The glutinous rice was chewy and the biodegradable straw was a nice bonus for virtue signalling on instagram.
Probably one of my favourite new joints. The drinks are innovative and delicious, the branding is spot-on , and appreciate the little touches like the biodegradable straws. Purple rice is great, lychee is great, and I can't wait to try more. This is heavier on the yogurt side think kefir, so if you're not into that, you might not be as big of a fan as this guy right here
The manager here was so friendly! Their signature drink "purple kome", which had many pieces of purple rice in rich creamy yogurt, was very delicious. The rice they use is what we Japanese eat for healthy diet and I was surprised that it could be sweets! You can also try a bar with Japanese twist behind the store owned by the same person.
Had the mango tango with oat. It was like having a breakfast yogurt with cereal but more in the form of a drink. Might not be for everyone if you don't like chewy and sandy texture in their kefir or milk, but I love it. Had the lychee with purple rice which was equally delicious.
