For the past decade Dr. Kent has taken care of our beloved cat Eugene. During that time he has survived crystals, a heart attack/stroke and cancer of the stomach. We are thankful to still have him with us and that is in no small part due to Dr. Kent , his passion and his expertise.

I have been bringing my 2 dogs to Dr Kent for over 8 years.  He has always been friendly and knowlegeable.  He is always honest with what he thinks is the best course of treatment for our boys and he has never once steered us in the wrong direction.  He has performed many many surgeries on my one dog who always seems to hurt himself.  He has saved us money where and when he can.  I would never take my animals to another clinic. HE IS THE BEST DR AND SURGEON IN THE CITY.  Even during the COVID pandemic he shows nothing but love for the animals.  I would recommend this clinic to anyone who cares about the well being of their pet.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO THIS VET OR CLINIC. Looks like the previous negative reviews have been scrubbed- there used to be 10+ on here of previous clients that had all had similarly troubling experiences with Dr. Kent Ackerman. From the initial consult, he was rude, egotistical, demeaning and so unenjoyable to be around- let alone to leave your pet with. He called me in the middle of my pet's surgery while they were sedated in the operating room, to try to upsell us on a cosmetic laser treatment on the incision site, to help it "heal faster". When we told him absolutely NOT no, we do not want the treatment he went ahead and did it anyways, and then had his front desk staff try to charge us for it after he had left for the day. He performed not only a procedure that was NOT discussed beforehand, but was explicitly denied by the pet owners. If this doesn't drive home that money is the only thing on this vet's mind, I don't know what will. At one point he even said that he was the best vet in the city, and that we were lucky to have him caring for our pet. A doctor, or any sort of health professional, having such a deluded sense of self importance, is alarming. Don't bring your pet here, there are a ton of other vets in the area that are kind, compassionate and actually care about the wellbeing of your pet- not what's in your wallet.
