I adopted my cat Ghost at the beginning of the year and the team at the Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic have been amazing! Super helpful with regular checkups as well as a small emergency that popped up. My fur baby is all looked after and healthy and everyone at the clinic is super friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone at the clinic for all that you do and working through this pandemic to make sure all our lovely cats are looked after! The downtown toronto cat clinic has been the best vet I’ve ever taken my cat to. You can tell that every single person who works there actually cares for your pet. My cat usually gets stressed out when going to vets but the fact that it’s a cat only vet really helps her anxiety. She recently had a big treatment done dental cleaning and the team took such great care of her. 10/10 recommend
I've been going to this clinic my entire cat-parent span 11 years, 3 cats, and they have always done a great job caring for my cats, including being very kind and compassionate around end of life plans. I really appreciate how much they care, and all of the COVID safety protocols they've continued to implement.
I'm very impressed by this clinic. I had an emergency with my cat on a Sunday and had to wait until Monday to take get him checked. I called and the receptionist was very pleasant and helped me get a last minute morning appointment. The vets and the assistant that checked my cat were very gentle and loving. It was pricey but they were very transparent about what they were charging me for and it made sense. They even called back the next day to ask how my cat was doing. I highly recommend this clinic, their service is stellar.
Displeased with my first experience yesterday at the cat clinic. 3 months ago I found a stray cat on my driveway and took her in without knowing she was pregnant. Now I have her and her two 8 week old kittens who are still breastfeeding. I took them in for their first vet appointment at Toronto Cat Clinic yesterday. The technician was super sweet and personable but the other person did not leave a good impression on me. She did not introduce herself so I don't know her name. She came in and started asking me a few standard questions. When she learned that they were still breastfeeding she said it was absolutely terrible and not safe for the babies and that I must cut them off from their mother immediately - not only must they stop breastfeeding cold turkey but they must be separated from their mom immediately. I was really surprised to hear that and asked her why and she made me feel like I was being negligent and careless, saying I should have done more research about taking care of kittens and that they must be separated because that's the way the world works how condescending!. I probed a bit more and she explained it's because it's bad for their gut bacteria. I called my dog's vet today and asked them if they agreed with the information she provided and they were shocked and completely disagreed with her instructions. They said that the mother cat will wean them off when it's time, that it's very healthy for them to breastfeed and that I should let nature run its course basically. That the mom will swat at them when she wants to stop breastfeeding. They said that kittens can breastfeed up to 12 weeks and it's totally normal and wonderful because I'm able to provide a safe environment for them. All this to say, I'm disappointed in the experience and information provided.
I can see many people have had the same experience I did. I brought my cat for a physical and they told me that he’s too aggressive even though I gave calming medication at their discretion. They wanted to fully sedate him for routine exams and asked that I pay the physical exam in advance and come back laterjust because they couldn’t complete it. Absolutely not, I didn’t and went to another clinic that was fully capable without all the extra scams.
Life savers! I called all vets in the zone and were fully booked, even the emergency clinics were at full capacity and too far from where I live. I was supposed to drop off my cat but eventually he pee on the table was a urinary problem and they were able to collect the sample and didn't kept him there saving me more troubles and money. Just for this action, you can see they really care about the cats. They were very kind to me and to my cat and must have saved his life because a few hours and the situation could have excalated. Thank you for saving my precious son
Dr. Bonder and the entire team at The Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic are awesome! My old lady Sphinx kitty means the world to me and I cannot say enough great things about the care she receives at the clinic. From 2 major surgeries that were both life saving and just regular check ups, the entire team is not just doing a job they genuinely care about her, and are very assuring and clear with me. Chicken loves being treated like a rockstar and she certainly gets it there. Thanks for all you do for her and me -Niki
I really have nothing but amazing things to say about this clinic! My little guy has been through alot in his short life! I switched to this clinic when I wasnt feeling Bean was getting the best care he could possibly get! This clinic has just been so good! From the receptionist to the techs to the doctors! So thorough, so understanding, listened to my concerns, answered every question and reassured me. I really appreciate the check-ins days after the appointment just making sure he was okay! I was really nervous to get him neutered due to his medical history and they were so calming and informative! Not to mention they treated Bean the way I treat him! He had his neuter and did amazing !!! I really want to thank this clinic for everything they have done! I can't wait to continue this relationship! Highly recommend! :
This is a wonderful cat clinic! I brought my cat, Zuzu, here a couple of months ago as a friend recommended them to me. The clinic has been nothing but kind, patient, and super attentive! They check on their patients, and really seem to care. I highly recommend!
