I thought the atmosphere was great. We walked in and we’re greeted right away and given seats right away. The pub was busy but there was space. I loved the set up. There were sections and different levels with great decor. We were there for drinks and appetizers and neither disappointed. Our server started out good with greeting us however she didn’t remember the whole first order. There’s no shame in writing things down. But then our wait times to see her grew longer. We would have stayed longer and ordered more if she was more present. She seemed more interested in chatting with the bar tender. The live music was also good. I’d definitely come back. With better management, this place could be awesome. *** Hello King’s Head Management, We were sitting in the upper mezzanine.
We decided to sit here because it was one of the few dog friendly patios. We ordered a few beers which where good. The food, however, took more than 40 minutes to get to us and my vegetarian burger came almost burnt as seen in the picture. The service wasn’t great either even though the waitress apologized and said she’s been working 3 shifts straight. Seemed like a bad day for the restaurant…
5 star local pub experience. Been coming here for 25 years not during the non King's Head years, and came back tonight for a full-on nostalgia-fest, and food and drink prices from the 90's. The old King's Head sign is now inside in the upper level, but tye outside and interior feel exactly the same as before. Heads up it looks like a 50th year anniversary in 2023! Also...looks like some of the same bathroom graffiti from back in the day. Great options for daily specials. Had the Monday night snashburger special with salad $12, house wine, and a Guinness which was poured professionally!. It is and has been one of the great local friendly neighbourhood pubs. Here's to another 50 years.
My friend and I ended up going to this bar while we were walking by the beach and the neighborhood. Luckily it was their happy hour3-6pm. I was very hungry so I ordered some food and beer. We sat on patio outside. It could be great if they bring water to the table before we start drinking or eating. I was very thirsty after my food and the waitress was alone and I couldn’t ask for water earlier. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Enjoyable food, awesome atmosphere! Guinness really tastes different compared to other pubs. Servers were incredibly polite, genuinely cares for the customers and their needs. Overall would come every week with my mates.
Interesting space, with seating on multiple levels. Staff was very pleasant, and service was prompt and responsive. The Smash Burger was very tasty -- I quite enjoyed it, and the side salad was also very good. Only problem for me was that it was quite chilly in the corner by the back door.
It's the greatest place in Vancouver believe me. When you try food you will be shocked positive! Staff is great and friendly and so is the manager.
I wanted to thank the King Head team for their great service! I hosted a birthday party there for over 40 people and everything went so smoothly - the manager was of great help to plan and the service on the day was spot on! Thank you so much :
Hit and miss. Good selection of beers. Great location. Serving staff are always friendly. What lets it down is the food quality. It's hit and miss. Can come out cold and unappealing or can come out very nice I had the fish tacos and there was no fish They need to sort out the kitchen or this place won't last. Shame ' cos I want the place to succeed
We can watch games, listen to music, enjoy a pub experience in group or alone. Really good food and beverage. Waitress and bartender are friendly.Food: 5/5
