Story

This is a fun, supportive, and very open stage. We welcome all kinds of art, however we are mostly singer/songwriter based. That being said, we have had comedians go up and do a short set, you are welcome to go up and simply play your instrument of choice if you wish, we welcome slam poets, story telling, any form of art you wish to perform for us! Sometimes at the end, we will go up together and collaborate if time allows.

Sign up starts at 7:45 PM and the performances run from 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM.

All genres are welcome. Please bring your own instrument.

Originals or covers. Solo artists welcome as well as groups. Each performer will get to sing 2-3 songs or have approx. 10 minutes with the mic.

We will ALWAYS provide the following: A guitar, an amp, patch chords, 2 mics, and cool lighting.

Please message us via this page if you would like a keyboard for your performance, and please do so at least 1 day before the mic night you are going to attend!

The live music was worth the cover. The pub itself is very outdated with mirrors everywhere but has lots of seating, pool tables and dart boards. Some of the regulars are an older crowd but it didn't seem to bother the twenty somethings. Bar food quality but decent range of beer and friendly staff.
One of the older established bars in the Fairview area! More of a bar than a restaurant. Lots of good live music.
Friday night was pretty good. Amazing bands were playing awesome music. Everyone was on the dance floor. I even woke up with 45 dollars in my pocket so I guess they have good prices too as I didn't spend all my allowance. Was an okay place. I would go again if the band's were playing but too far from home to go for any other reason.
Great place to dance or watch live music that’s worth the cover charge. Just look up the band before you go to see if they are to your taste. Good beer selection. Most people are over 40. Everyone is smiling and having a good time.
Looking for a good live band bar with ambiance, vibe, diversity of people and good music. Fairview was surprisingly quite good. Older established place with a good open layout for interactions. Good sized dance floor. Great sound. Dart boards pool tables and nice people. Only reason I gave it a 4 was service was very slow and understaffed. Food was also decent.
It was ok. Didn't have any of their food. Bad choice of band for the second half of the night. We wanted to dance. More couples-style dancing than for a group of friends. Expected something faster & more up-tempo for a Saturday night.
I went to a live show here. It's a fun venue and cover was only $10. The food was unimpressive but cheap. Service was hit and miss. Some staff were great some were rude. I got a glass of water at the bar and the glass they gave me a dirty glass with lipstick on it. The crowd on the night I was there was mostly older folks but everyone was happy and lively.
A Vancouver classic. Great little place for live music. Support live music!!! Its dated, but it should be included in the rebuild. Some pet peeves... people bringing their glass drink/bottles on the dance floor? Using cell phones for pics/videos on the dance floor. Cant go to public places anymore to really feel free. Especially dancing like no ones watching, without worrying about being online somewhere. Balance the sound. Small venues do not need to deafen you.
Classic/generic beer selection with some guest taps. Standard pub fair, small town pub feel in the big city. Good live music, $5 cover and friendly service. Not as seedy as you expect but just what you need.
Dave the bartender is amazing and the open mics led by Houndstoothe are the best nights of the week. Bar is a little dingy and the crowd is on the older side, but its chill and big. Good pool table and a good selection of drinks!
