Best eggrolls in town in my opinion. Little bit more expensive. But so delicious. Will give you plates and everything you need so you don't have a lot of clean up at home when you order take out. Really easy if your very busy. Ready in 20 minutes even when they are super busy! Just stop an pick-up or call done right delivery.Food: 5/5
I am from the west with incredible Asian food so I am particular. The low mien was very good. The Peking pork and ginger beef were okay. The problem is they are battered and supposed to be deep fried but batter breaks down in the sauce making an unpleasant texture. I will try other unbattered dishes next time.

Best Chinese food in town hands down. Hard working people and excellent customer service. We eat here regularly spending an average of $100 each time and have had zero issues, pickup and delivery orders are both pretty quick. BEST EGGROLLS IN TOWN!!
So, my wife and I have always gone to another restaurant in town when getting our Chinese food, but Labour Day rolled around and neither of us felt like cooking so we gave King Lam a chance. I am so happy we did. We ordered a ton of stuff to get a good sampling. First off, Covid measures in place, they were offering take out only. In through the back out through the front, proper distancing mapped out, hand sanitizer in place, single use menus, all staff wearing masks properly. The wonderful lady taking my order was quick taking the order, read it back to me to ensure accuracy and gave me an estimated time of 20 minutes, which considering how much I ordered, was very fast. Came back 20 minutes later, order was just finished, accurate and piping hot. Highlight of the meal was the Cantonese Style Chow Mein. The flavours of all the ingredients just complimented each other so well and the shrimps in it were huge and perfectly seasoned. I prefer a different thicker sauce on my Beef and Broccoli, but theirs was still great. We will definitely be going back.
Food is delicious, friendly staff and great service
Food was quite poor in quality. Very greasy. Not sure when the last time they changed their oil was. I don’t know if standards here are lower but this place has a few good reviews and yet it doesn’t even compare to good in my books. I will not be going back.
We decided to give it a try for fun, as we sometimes enjoy trying new restaurants. My bf, my mom and I were pleasantly surprised by our food. The staff very very friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. Every bit I took was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I look forward to going back in he future.
The King Lam used to be my go-to place for Chinese food in the Truro area. The food was always good. A few years ago they changed owners and things went downhill after that. I gave them a couple of chances but just stopped going. Yesterday I tried it again as the new place I've been going to was closed. I wasn't pleased at all. The spareribs were small., and there weren't very many. The rice and chow mein were very greasy, as if too much oil had been used in the wok. Very little flavor to either one. Happily I had spices at home to add to it. I could have done a better job myself. It's too bad because I used to love the King Lam, but it just never came back after changing ownership.
Everything we have had here has been tasty. Excellent Cantonese chow mein, sesame chicken, chicken balls, and ginger beef. Only complaint I have is the deep fried wontons. Save your money and skip them. There is no meat. They're literally Chinese "nacho chips" made from wonton wrappers.
