King Feet Massage

I rooms are nice, clean & cozy. The staff are professional & polite. Ivy was my massage therapist & she was great overall finding my knots & areas in my back. She is accomodating which I appreciate. The only thing that caught me off guard was when I was about to give her a tip & she was firm & insisted I give a $10 minimum which I told her I was on a student's budget. I still gave this to her as I felt uncomfortable to say no since she did a great job. I felt a bit pressured which I didn't find appropriate she should be asking me this way. I went on a Groupon deal to try them out. I remember reading other comments about this also happening to others. When I had called to book the appointment initially, I even hinted I was a student so that they would not assign me someone who would demand a $10 tip. My friend who also went with me on the same day with a different massage therapist says he was never asked this about tipping ‍. This was an awkward situation.

I came to this place for a massage based on Groupon recommendation. I usually go for my massage around Yaletown and Vancouver downtown salons. Just wanted to try something new and hence tried this place I deeply regret it. I have never in my life walked out of a massage place. Imagine that, who does not like a massage even if it’s bad? It was so bad that I couldn’t help myself but to let the masseuse know I need to leave. First of all she walked in 12 mins late for a 60 mins massage. Then she spent around 15 mins just patting me on top of my towel, poking my feet with towel covered on it. I somehow felt she didn’t want to touch me. Then she started with my head, again covered my head in towel. So I asked her, could you please remove the towel and massage who gives head massage with towel covered around head?. She did what I asked , but it was still so bad. She then moved to my back removing towel and applied oil. Her technique is more like poking, slamming the body and I felt like a marinated chicken. It was so aweful that I told her I need to leave and I have a bad stomach pain I lied because I didn’t want to be rude as she seems like a nice lady who just didn’t know how to massage. She was also chewing a gum or something like that the whole time. I spoke about this experience to the reception, they apologized, conveying that other masseuses were busy and gave me tea. ambiance of the place is nice. I just wish they took sometime to train their staffs on how to massage. I will not come back to this place.

I was there last weekend … massages for 90mins … but the lady ivy was walked in walked out for half an hour …. Very simple massages for facial and back body for .. anyone can do …. Asking for tips while heading to front reception desk but receptionist already gone …. I wanted to discuss with massage lady to receptionist… no one is around …. But I will try other ladies because I was there half year ago some ladies are polite and really trusted massages… but she is not..ivy … disappointed….having a cramps on my legs ….unfortunately….. no asking for tea or warm water ….no politeness…..

A most painful massage I ever experienced! It felt like the masseuse wanted to hurt me purposely!! Very inconsistent with what kind of service you may end up with. Once is really good, and other times you feel you are in different places.

staff is quite expert at muscle relaxation - also very sensitive and personable - frequently checks if treatment is OK and good pressure.

I give 5 star is because I enjoy the feet messages from masseur Tony. I had my first visit done by Tony. He identified my right shoulder muscle really tight and after that 10 minutes PAINFULLY message i felt the muscle got a great relaxation. The process is not enjoyable but results great lol. Then my feet message, my feet is flat feet and left feet got more worse than left side. sure the whole process it’s painful again. But after the treatment again my feet got relaxed so much. Since i enjoyed it so i visit again and received the message from a different measure. Felt a bit different. And i don’t quite felt any relaxation after the treatment. I know all measures has their own way do message. So no blame. Mine 3rd visit and i decided choose Tony do my message again. And be honestly why the tip bothers so many people. If you enjoyed it and they give u a good message. 10 is not very much. If u go out for a meal i am sure u will tip ur server good tip if service is good. Tony recommended ! He speaks mandarin and very gentle of course.
