It feels like a hole-in-the-wall, low-profile barber/salon. As a guy who's not fussy I came with low expectations but was surprised by how efficient their haircut was. After showing them a photo of my clean previous haircut they recommended not going too short and I'm glad I trusted their sense. They gave me a good trim and a shampoo, too, for a very affordable price.

I am very disappointed by my experience today. The person who did my haircut made me feel like he was fully confident of giving me long layers that would frame my face but even now I’m not sure what he has done. He didn’t section my hair through my middle and proceeded with the haircut with my hair partitioned to the side. Mid way through the haircut he was busy making phone calls and seemed preoccupied with other things. After a while he proceeded to straighten my hair. I told him that I wanted a hair wash and not straightening but he said that he was busy with other customers who were not present yet at the salon and apologized. By that point I just wanted to leave. He didn’t show me how my hair looked from behind and all sides. And didn’t seem to want to know what I felt about my haircut. I am now left with an uneven haircut and I a not so great end to my year. He seems like a nice person but I would not recommend him or the place for a professional haircut for women.Service: Haircut

Korean Owned Barber that has been there for over 33 years. Barber Kim Knows what you want before you want it. He's Good. and Price is more than fair for mens Haircut at $23 Includes haircut, shampoo wash and styling. Would recommend for anyone for quality cut at great Value.Service: Haircut

Not sure what happened. My first visit was decent and the second time, dude literally cut my hair for only 3 minutes and said he was done with it. I was speechless and did not know what to say. I was not happy with the end result. He even told me to call next time for an appointment when I literally did the previous day. I’m never coming back again.

I got really lucky with first haircut in Canada @ Kim's! I researched and was ready to drive out 20 kms+ only to reach the right hair salon; I've always dreaded stylists' messing up my pretty simple hair style. Lucky cause Kim's was literally a 2 minutes walk from my apartment and he did fabulous in both assuring me and the end result. Though it was a weekday I did call and got myself on his list for 45 minutes out from my call time. Felt comfortable from the time I stepped in and elated when I walked out. You can't go wrong in choosing Kim's for a haircut; after all he's got 33 years experience and is certainly a master at his craft. Thank you, Kim!! Now, even if I move out of North York, I'm gonna drive to your hair studio for my haircuts.

I asked for a taper fade but got my top cut short and the side. It’s not even a fade it’s an undercut. I gave him references and he didn’t even use the correct razor tips that would allow to have the style i want. Never going backServices: Haircut

Went to Mr. Shin twice now and I can confidently say that he does a great job! The hair salon is to the right after you climb a short flight of stairs. Make sure you call and reserve your appointment beforehand, he's very busy! I showed him a few pictures and he explained to me which one he recommended. For less than $30, you can expect great service and a satisfactory outcome. I will come back for sure :Service: Haircut

Love this small business, a gem right outside of Finch. The moment I walk in I felt the family friendly vibe and I was taken care of right away! Got a layered women’s haircut medium length by hairstylist Young Do Shin and he did my layers perfectly! He styled it and turned out exactly the way I wanted it. Even gave me a card for a free haircut next time. Definitely coming back. P.S 1. Make sure to bring a picture of the hairstyle you want, hairstylists’ are Korean and will try their best to accommodate to your needs! 2. Even though I brought a picture of the hairstyle I wanted, I told him I only wanted layers and a good trim so my hair doesnt feel as heavy. The rest was up to him. Trust his taste!
