Kiddytown

We only discovered this amazing, affordable, family run Ottawa store yesterday - and today we read in the news that after over 70 years, they are closing down. Super disappointing for us and for anyone who has never been here! This store has an incredible variety of kids clothes - both indoor and outside, strollers, toys, and most significantly, all the baby accessories that you need for your little one. All of these things are at great prices and known, quality brands! Perhaps the one highlight for customers is that the prices are rock bottom as they are liquidating. Sad to see a local Ottawa store that we just discovered go, but proud to see them close down on their own terms.

Went in to purchase a car seat last week and received really great service. The sales associate was so much more knowledgeable than the other big box stores that I went to. I also found them to be very honest in their recommendations. Prices are competitive and I will definitely be back to buy all my baby related items!

We bought a suit for our toddler today. Staff were super friendly and so helpful! We found exactly what we needed within one minute of being in the store. Prices were good. Similar prices at other places I looked at but the quality was superior and they had exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be back !

Excellent customer service. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. I wanted to buy the Uppababy V2 and asked if they could hold one for me until a specific day. I called about 1 hr before close on the appointed day mommy brain and they still had the stroller on the side for me. They could have very easily sold it because it's a popular stroller. But they kept their word and I got the stroller I wanted. Their customer service is outstanding.

This is a great locally owned shop. The people are friendly, accommodating and know their stuff! They have a wide variety of stock for all your baby, toddler and child's needs. Whether it's a car seat, stroller, rain gear or shoes, they have it all. Before heading to a big box store, check Kiddytown!

Wonderful service, very knowledgeable and great prices. The team was so helpful and had answers to all of our questions, and the minute we brought up concerns we had researched they knew all the specs and stats we were referring to and helped us find the best products for our family. We went in to browse and packaged our nursery furniture together that we ended up buying everything same day. I will happily return to support a local Ottawa business and love the products they offer. Will definitely be setting up our registry with them from the great experience!!

Amazing service! When we realized we needed a new car seat for our toddler we automatically thought of kiddy town! We bought our last one there and the service was amazing 2 years ago and it still is today! They had great price but I wouldn't have mind paying more just because of the helpfulness we get here. Thanks again!

Excellent service, very knowledgeable staff, lots of options for baby equipments, we were able to compare many strollers which is super helpful to make a decision, and loved our experience there, we got our nuna triv stroller from there, the car seat, the diono booster and breastfeeding chair! I would definitely recommend!

Great customer service and a good selection of products. I went there searching for strollers and the staff members were very helpful answering all my questions, as well as patient to demonstrate the features of each model, even though they knew I wasn't ready to make the purchase. I highly recommend.

Pros: I like that there's a local store to be able to actually see items in person before purchasing. They have a pretty good selection depending on what you're looking for. Unfortunately they don't usually have whatever I'm looking for it seems. Cons: I've had multiple times where the staff not being familiar with the products has led me to shop elsewhere. At the downtown location, I bought a pair of zippyjamz there and went back to get a second pair but they had no clue what I was talking about or about the brand at all. The second experience was at the warehouse, where I booked an appt during lockdown and mentioned I was looking for a bike trailer, only to get to the store and find out they had none in stock. The manager told us he'd take our information and let us know when they came in but that they were really hard to find this year. That's fair, but we never received follow up and when we looked online, there were tons of stores carrying them, some of which were also local. They ended up having to sell them off at a discount at the end of the season when they could have had the sale with us we bought ours elsewhere after not hearing back. I will be preferring other stores for future purchases due to these issues with trying to shop there.
