This is the best food in Hope. We got stuck in Abbotsford because of some gang shooting and then multiple accidents so we ended up having lunch at Kibo. It's humble but delicious. We had the chicken wings, tofu and some salmon Maki.
I understand there was shortage of staffing. However, I still couldn’t figure out why I ordered a ramen and was served an instant noodle. Besides, the sushi rolls were good.
We have eaten here once. We had the spicy pork special. it was very good but a little to sweet and thats why I didn't give 5 stars. The service was quite good and the place has a very nice feel to it. We ate a a picnic table ina little garden that was very peaceful and beautiful, there is only one table in the garden. They have a patio. Washroom is nice and clean. Parking for about 5-6 cars. We will go back whenever we are i. Hope. We do recommend it.
Pretty decent little spot. They have my favorite Japanese beer Asahi, so that's good. The girl working was friendly. Only outside seating right now which is totally fair. Wasn't a huge fan of the sushi as it fell apart when I tried to eat it. The ramen was a good portion and value with a decent taste. Really did appreciate having Japanese food in Hope on the way through.
We were just passing through hope and stopped for dinner. Kibo had some of the best prawn tempura and flavourful salmon sashimi I’ve ever had. The monkey brain sushi roll not actually monkey brains was a delicious and unique roll. Highly recommend this place to all Japanese cuisine and sushi lovers.

We had the worst experience at this location. We ordered takeout on our way to a picnic. Even though we were the only customers there it took over 30 minutes for 3 rolls, sashimi and edamame. No one picked up before us When we arrived at our location we realized that the raw fish was rancid. We tried one of the rolls and it was off. Rather than risk food poisoning we tossed the entire order into the forest. Maybe some creature could enjoy over $50 of garbage food. I have no idea how this place has decent reviews. You are better off purchasing sushi from a grocery store.
We stop at Kibo every time we drive through Hope, and it never disappoints. The Happy Boat is one deliciius course after another, expertly put together. Excellent environment! It’s a small and cozy restaurant with nice decorations inside. Food is made delicately and delicious! Would recommend!
The people working there are friendly. The food is always delicious. They also have the largest Christmas cactus I've ever seen. Parking: The parking lot is small,but there is lots of street parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide space near ramp.
