Ready on time. Hot and yummy Loved the crispy fries and other dishes
Lacking a KFC in my immediate hometown area, I decided upon "hitting up" the Mt. Pocono KFC during a recent road trip here to satisfy a craving for it. I have had ongoing experiences with this particular place going back to the mid-1990s when I was briefly a resident in the area. In recent years it was a hybrid Long John Silver/KFC restaurant which was decent overall and satisfactory. This visit to "just the KFC" was at best middling. The food was overpriced but that I am certain had much to do with all of the inflationary conditions abounding. I spent $13 for a "4 Piece Chicken Box Meal" which came with a medium drink and a side of mashed potatoes. In the past I recall getting coleslaw included and at a cheaper price at that. Also, only 2 of the 4 pieces of fried chicken were decent sized as the other 2 pieces were much smaller and put together might have equaled a full sized third piece. No condiments were available anywhere, not even some salt and pepper shakers on the tables of which I had to ask the overwhelmed staff at the counter for some. On a positive note, I will say the staff I dealt with despite being "busy" were very polite to deal with and I appreciated their courtesy. They definitely seemed to be putting their best efforts into running operations there and at least that is something of a saving grace.
The sign says KFC but the chicken does not... I never felt so ripped off, chicken was bland, definitely cooked on another shift, greasy, the biscuits had no butter, and the mashed potatoes taste like hot water. Everything that makes people grab KFC was missing. Don't waste your money and the cashier had no personality.
Very helpful staff!! During COVID everyone was hit hard. I work in health care and saw a small glimpse of the impacts of it. Not good. Today 7-23-22 I’m driving home to Delaware County PA and we all feel like KFC, but our kayaks on the roof prevent us from using the drove thru. What now?? I called them and arranged our order between ordering on line and picking up at the door, we had everything!! The staff were all wearing masks and when I motioned at the window for a “can you come here” a few staff nodded a motioned to me a “one minute we’ll be right there.” I marked this KFC in my gps and will stop here when I travel up and down PA I’m frequently on the NE extension to Scranton or Allentown or NY. Thanks KFC! Gold stars all around
Inside was closed, all employees wearing masks, made me doubt if I wanted to eat my food. Covid is over, common people reopen the dining hall.Food: 2/5
June 10th, 2021. Place is still closed to the public. Only drive through open. Lots of cars, slow service. KFC is more expensive than othe fast food restaurants.
Zero stars. Lobby is closed. Cant walk up to the drive thru. As a semi truck driver I’m very disappointed. They claim its the owners policy and recommend us to take OUR 13 6” truck with our 53 feet trailer through the outside of the drive thru to then still have to get out and order and get out and grab the food. Makes no sense. So if you are the owner of this location I am disappointed you would do this to truck drivers who keep this country running.
The lrg mashed potato portion was smaller than other KFC'S that I have been too near the N. Hills Pittsburgh area I normally patronize.Food: 4/5
Drive thru was quick and service was friendly but not great. Didn't ask which sided ok wanted just gave me whatever they put in the bag. Disappointing.
Still not allowed to dine in... take out only as of this posting.Food: 4/5
