My new car key works great. Cost a lot less than it would have at the dealer. Hooray for future technology!

Brought two of the most basic of basic keys...was notified that neither of them could be printed but had to be mail ordered. A day later got a notification that both of them were cancelled because they actually weren't keys they supported. Unacceptable.

Excellent service and product! I had an apartment key that wasn't one the of the standard types, so I took it to a KeyMe kiosk, had it copied, and less than a week later it was delivered in the mail. Key works perfectly!

I was excited by the concept of KeyMe, but disappointed in the implementation. Customer service tried to help, but I didn't feel they understood my issues well enough to help properly. Customer support responded to the issues I had with the service, but did nothing but sympathize. Overall, I will do anything I can to avoid this service again.
Here is a quick summary of the issues I faced:
1. The App. I was using the KeyMe app on an iPhone, and the "share a key" functionality simply did not work. I had to borrow a friend's phone to use this feature. Fail.
2. The location. There is only one KeyMe kiosk in my state, and it's at the Mall of America. Most people in my circle of friends and family dread going to The Mall. It is a wild jungle of obesity, consumerism, and teenagers. But we went, because we had to. When we got inside, I checked the location info for the kiosk on the KeyMe website, and it is very unclear (address based on street names outside of a mall that has it's own zip code? bad idea). Customer support was able to give me a little more information, but I had to do most of the work myself to find this kiosk. I spent two hours driving across town, parking, navigating the mall, and getting out of there. Fail.
3. The cost. When I checked the website, the app, and with customer service over the phone, I was repeatedly informed that the cost for a key, shared with me, and printed at a kiosk, would be roughly $4-6 for the cheapest key material. This is apparently only for keys ordered and shipped to you, not for the kiosk. I can understand missing the fine print on the website or in the app (though I still shame them for not making this more clear), but I asked customer service about my specific case and they still told me $4-6. In the end, I paid $22 for a single brass key. Ouch. Fail.
4. Customer Service/Support. After my experience, I received an e-mail asking for feedback (pointing to the wrong page! I had to find this page on my own) and replied directly to customer support before writing this review. I was unimpressed with the customer support response, which was sympathetic, but really contained no personal action to rectify my concerns. Sigh.
I am willing to look past these issues to resolve an emergency in the future, but will not be using this service otherwise.

You'd probably like to know that it's on the east side, third floor, near the exits.
