Kente Property Management

I was informed about a year ago when I first moved in to their apartment building on 104 Cannifton rd that the inside door would be getting a lock put in and we would all we receive keys for it. This has not happened and I have now seen several different homeless people camping out from time to time under the stairwell. I do think a lock is a necessary security measure and that this issue should be addressed soon. But other than a few issues Kente Management is actually pretty good overall and I have recommended to friends looking for a new apartment in Belleville.

I have seen first hand how neglectful Kente Property Management is in taking care of their tenants, buildings and property they are hired to manage. Buildings are never cleaned, trash and dirty needles found in the hallways and under the stairwells where homeless people spend the night because the building is not "secure" and the doors were broken for months allowing anyone and their dog to come in... no wonder I washed the floor in the hallway with straight bleach!! Disgusting!! Overall BAD experience from numerous tenants that dealt with Kente property management and would never recommend living anywhere that they manage!

I lived in 104 Cannifton Road in Belleville Ontario since May 2016 and I'm currently saving up for my future in Kingston Ontario for 2022 and 104 Cannifton Road has gone downhill' I can't wait to move out of that filthy apartment one day after my Kingston apartment money's all saved up' by the time I move out to Kingston' I hope to find better apartments' I care about cleanness and nicer apartments

Have now had my "landloard" show up, pound on my door like she was the cops, then literally waited 5 seconds then ran to her truck. Showing my boyfriend our lease then speeding out of our Parking lot. Carly Reid is a complete idiot. She's not professional at all and she is NEVER in the office nor does she take phone calls. Oh and she doesn't have a work cell. Mhmmm some people say there slumlords and I'm starting to see it. There nothing but idiots in there

I wish there was a negative review. And too bad I didn't see any reviews of Kente a little over a year ago, before I moved into the building they managed on Cannifton Road in Belleville. If I would have known how badly they managed and how rude the workers are (especially Carly, who was also ALWAYS on her phone, texting, whenever she showed up to the building), I wouldn't have moved. You could write a novel of work orders for Kente to get stuff done, but nothing would get done. Like others said, Kente would lie about getting stuff done and when you ask, they are completely oblivious to the problems in the units/building. Last year, shortly after my mom, daughter and I moved in, we had gone to the new fire station for their "doors open" and we asked the fire inspector some questions about our building, turned out he ended up coming to our building and had a stack of papers of what was wrong with the building (fire code wise). My mom and I also got City Hall involved, with the Property Standards officer, which gave Kente more paperwork. Luckily the building I am in is now managed by a new property management company, who is doing more work in a short couple of months, then what Kente ever did.
