I give this place 2 stars not because of the building itself but because of the staff, Living out of town you would have to call to see if something was in stock ,but yet no one answers the phone?? no matter what time you'd call!!! and they let it continuously ring and then hang up on you, not quite sure how that's customer service.
The garden center is still open which js enough for me to love it but they're currently in the midst of construction and renos which is making it challenging to find things.
Good selection of building materials. Pricing is decent. Never enough staff around when help is required. Has a nice garden center when it's that season. Selection of kitchen cabinets isn't too bad especially for ready made. Motion activated lighting in aisles, love it

Went to your store in Mount Pearl St. John’s to see if we could get a new replacement blind for an odd sized big window. We brought our old shade with us and she refused to even tell us politely that she wouldn’t measure it even when I told her that it was not a blind that could put inside the window frame. She was rude, disrespectful and almost savage. Well my husband and I were so upset when we came out! The sales lady in the blind department was rude, condescending and obnoxious. We couldn’t believe how we were treated. We have spent thousands over the years at Kent. I was horrified how we were treated. My husband was so upset he said he will never shop at Kent again. She even insisted that we take our business to Stavanger Drive which is so far from us! Omg we can’t believe how badly we were treated! In the end we sat in the car and couldn’t believe what had happened to us! We went to the Paint Shop and we were treated so respectful. They measured the blind, took the measurements and ordered the blind for us! What a difference in service. We have purchased snowblower, paint, drapes, gardening supplies, bbq’s, flooring, wood, you name it! You have lost good customers in us! Marilyn Staple
The outdoor yard had a great selection and you can drive through to get what you need. You can even pay outside which makes the whole process much more convenient and timely.
Disappointed is just the understatement! Been trying to buy or order a door for months. Finally last night there’s one online so of course we ordered it. The website clearly stated that one of there couriers will ship the door to the Kent location in Mount Pearl NL. Awesome we thought. The door is ordered and paid for. Today Kent in Mount Pearl calls and says sorry we can’t do that!!! Well don’t have it on your website!!!! The worst customer service I’ve ever endured ever over the past few months!!!!!
Kent is currently renovating the Contractor Yard. Hope it allows for more outside products
