I use to really love Kelsey’s, we would frequently come here for date nights before it closed. Last week my girlfriends and I decided to give it a go again. Our service was terrible. It took us 20 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was not busy, our waitress took 40 minutes to have our drinks to the table. We ordered 2 Caesars, two cocktails and two waters. After finally receiving our drinks we waited another 45 minutes to even have our Apps delivered to our table. My friend ordered a burger and the inside of the burger was red. Our food was soggy and terrible. The waitress checked on us one time throughout the whole evening. The whole experience was terrible and I won’t be returning here unless something changes.
Worst experience ever! Not only did we wait an hour and a half for our food, when it did arrive it came separately, lukewarm at best, and wrong, twice! When I talked to the manager, she said she would not charge me for my meal and that she would get the kitchen to make my food correctly, I asked her to make it to go because my family was already done eating. While waiting the server came over and said she was very sorry for everything, that I was because they were super busy. The place was only 1/4 filled. We waited another 30 minutes for my to go meal to come and it never did. I got so fed up of waiting. This experience still ended up being nearly $70! As a small family of 4 on a budget we don't often get to go out for dinner.
Less than mediocre. Arrived at the restaurant at 4:20 on a Sunday afternoon. There were maybe three other tables in the restaurant with occupants. We finally got our food at 530 after having asked where it was... We were told "it's probably because you ordered steaks". The veggies were cold. Steaks were overcooked. My husbands burger was burnt and a the bottom patty was missing almost half of it. Our daughters pizza was cold. Overall, extremely disappointing. It seems that Kelsey's is letting their standards drop.
The restaurant was slightly understaffed, and while our server was great and did her best, she made a mistake on our order that cost us an extra $4. The Mac and Cheese and burger were incredibly bland and uninspired, plus the portions were small as well. There's very little decor to speak of, so it's just best to avoid the place in general.
My wife and I both ordered the mushroom sirloin and the wait was rather long, in fact the wait just to get drinks was quite long especially since it was not very busy 5 other tables seated in the entire restaurant. I finished my drink by the time our dinner arrived and the glass stayed empty for the rest of our visit. Both our steaks were over cooked but the server never came back to ask how our meal was or to refill our drinks. The taste of the food was good but we both were disappointed with very poor customer service.
Second trip back this year, this one was a little bit worse than the last. Both visits I had gotten a burger, both times it was burnt, very burnt. This is the first time I've gotten sick from their food though. The waitress didn't bother asking the usual; "How was everything?", probably because she already knew the answer. Though the service was fine, the food was TERRIBLE. I am not going back. I don't recommend anyone ever eat here, unless you like spending time in the bathroom. Crabby's just up the street pumps out way better food and the cost is comparable.
I wish I could give this a negative star rating. I can honestly say that this is the worst dining experience I have ever encountered. I went for apps and drinks on Friday November 18th, 2016. We were seated quite promptly however the man that seated us did not say one single word to us. He put our menus down and walked away like we didn't even exist. Our waiter took so long coming to greet us that we had already decided on drinks and apps. We ordered food and drinks and I will say that the drinks were decent however the food was absolutely terrible. We ordered spinach dip. The dip itself was cold and had zero flavor. The flat breads used for dipping were so overcooked I could have chipped a tooth. Not once did our waiter come over to see if we needed a drink refill or were satisfied with our food. He spent a majority of the time talking to who i would assume was the owner in the corner of the bar. The waiter finally came over to see how we were doing and he proceeded to clear our plates from the table while my husband still had food in his hand! All in all for 1 drink each and 1 app we were there for almost 2 hours. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone!! This place needs a total overhaul with staff that actually cares about the industry they work in. The owner perhaps needs a face to face sit down with someone of importance so she realizes that chatting in the back corner of the store with her employees while guests are patiently waiting for food, drinks, bills is not acceptable. I rate this a negative 10 out of 10. DO NOT GO HERE
Did not enjoy our experience at all. We were seated at a dirty table by the hostess, who then disappeared and we had to wait for a waitress to come and clean it. We had three different servers, non of which were attentive at all. Our drinks were long emptied before anyone came by to ask if we would like another drink, our food was kuke warm. We had not been in a long time and thought we'd give it another try, but are sorry we did.
Went on Sunday at 730. The place was pretty dead. They were out of multiple food items. After we ordered the waitress came out to say another dish was unavailable so we had to reselect which was ok. Then 10 minutes later the waitress came back to confirm all of our orders. After a half hour we finally received our drinks of mostly pop and water. And then after another 40 minutes the good arrived and some of it was wrong so we had to send it back. Most of the items we had eaten at different Kelseys restaurants and the food tastes nothing like those. Very disappointing I recommend skipping this place.
Service was slow even though there was only about 3 tables. Order was wrong. Wrong salad dressing, wrong fries, toppings wrong. One order took 10 minutes longer than the other. Slow getting cheque then realized when we got home our appetizer was not discounted as it should have been sinned it was after 8, not impressed.
