After poor service and dismissing my concerns as only sensitivity by Peterborough Public Health and being turned away by other dentists in Peterborough I didn't expect much from Kawartha Dental when I called around to see if any dentists might have an emergency opening for the pain I was experiencing. Cheryl at intake/front desk was effervescent and immediately put me at ease. Dr. Patel was covering for Dr. Mason away on emergency and he was the best dentist I have ever had. He used numbing prior to the injection of freezing and his assistant kindly kept my tongue out of harm's way during drilling etc. so I didn't come home raw. He took X-rays instead of just visualizing what could be wrong and he said he could take care of all three cavities that were bothering me - not just sensitivity! He wasn't completely satisfied with his work so instead of sending me on my way (as he could have at the very least due to other pressing appointments) he took the time to perfect it. He understood my financial situation and suggested I consider a bridge as I can't afford an implant but am very affected by having lost a front tooth. The front desk has promised to call me about possible payment plan options which other dentists have refused to offer in the past. Overall as the freezing continues to wear off I feel incredibly pleased with the experience and was delighted that they were so kind and accommodating.

Dentistry, like any field of medicine, offers few guarantees. There are just too many variables involved and vicissitudes occur all too frequently. It is as much art as science. Therefore choice of a D.D.S. is critical. I have found Dr. Sanei to be engaging and informative personally and proficient professionally. I was especially impressed and appreciative of proactive approach to pain and infection management demonstrated by his prescription of a prophylactic regiment of antibiotics, anti inflammatories and pain medication which resulted in minimal operative/postoperative discomfort and a rapid recovery for the first stage of my extraction and implant procedure. Based on my experience so far, when compared to similar procedures performed by others, I am reasonably confident that I have chosen well.

Got my wisdom teeth out and the final cost was $350 more that what my quote was. They used all my dental coverage in one go.
