Dr. Jyoti Datta

This review is pertaining to my experience at the Dentistry on Derry is Mississauga, owned and operated by the same Dentist. I can't review that location at the moment but I just have to publicly praise the good practices of this establishment and the Dentists who own it. A little over two weeks ago I started feeling severe pain on my gums and was waiting for it to go away. The pain persisted and when I saw the dentistry on my way to work, I figured I would see if they could take me. I came in as a walk in and the environment was inviting and friendly. I explained the situation and they got me into a chair for x-rays immediately. Dr. Datta came in and checked my gums. He saw that there was an infection that was causing the pain and prescribed me antibiotics that would help. Dr. Datta was kind and was genuinely concerned for my well being. He was friendly and was easy to talk to, you can tell that working with him would be great because all of his support staff seemed happy. When leaving, Dr. Datta asked me if I had benefits to cover the visit, and that he would waive the fees if I didn't. This meant the world to me because I had just incurred some unforeseen expenses the day before when my car was smashed up in a parking lot hit-and-run. Dr. Datta didn't know this and still offered his generosity. This is something that I am not used to with the dentists I have seen in the past. The dentists I have had are more concerned about their own pockets than your health. Dr. Datta was the polar opposite. I was expecting to be out of pocket for $200+ and after all was said and done it was far below that.... I went in for a check up today and the same positive vibes filled the office. I came in early because my work schedule changed and they still accommodated me. Dr. Datta check on my gums, which have now healed, and was the same kind person as the week before. There were different support staff, and yet they all had the same cheerful vibes. Overall this experience has made me want to change dentists. If there wasn't a 50 minute drive between where I live and Dr. Datta's Dentistry I would be transferring today. Same goes for the rest of my family, my mother is seriously considering it. I cannot stress enough how great this experience was. To see a health professional be genuinely interested and concerned with your health is not as common as it should be. There are a lot of bad apples out here who are more concerned with their bottom lines. Dr. Datta is proof that there are health professionals who are in the field for the love of the work and it this has been such an uplifting experience. I want to whole heartedly thank Dr. Datta and his staff. As soon as the Dentistry on Derry can be reviewed, I will be the first.
