I scream, you scream! We all scream for ice cream! On such a hot day, there are few things better than an ice cold treat. In Barrie, Kawartha Dairy is a classic parlour just a short drive from the beachfront. The shop has over 40 ice cream flavours to suit your heart’s desire. Initially we had trouble picking & eventually staff forgot about us. Salty Caramel Truffle and Moose Tracks are popular flavours. We stacked both fresh scoops in a small size cup that’s still huge! Each spoonful is fairly rich & creamy. The salt in the caramel balanced one another well highly recommend, while Moose Tracks was a chocolate delight to satisfy the sweet tooth. Milkshakes can also be made from any scoop. We tried the new Pistachio Almond in this form. The almond slices added a crunch to the green pistachio shake although flavours were a bit artificial. All-in-all, this visit put us in a good summer vibe!
Oh my god, this was so amazing, first up, the staff was super nice, they were so generous with there scoops! I asked for one scoop and look what I got pic in the review!! And it tasted to amazing. Defiantly coming back again
Given the quantity that was provided the price was very reasonable. Do visit this location if you are coming back from skiing session. they've more flavors as compared to Toronto outlet
karwartha is a little piece of heaven with extended hours. Not only the best I mean the BEST ice cream selection, and my favourite French Vanilla, Raspberry Thunder, Pralines and Cream, well all of them, Moose tracks Sooooo goood; with French vanilla add fresh raspberries :Heaven or pick up Raspberry Thunder and stomp your feet with your own tune of: “dam that is good” my drive by favourite: when I visit Fox’s bakery for hubby’s lunch meat is a small Vanilla shake and it is not so small and my fur buddy shares a puppy cone!! hello!!!!! During the COVID lock down I learned this little piece of heaven offers milk, cheese, eggs, buttermilk, table cream with my vanilla side shake!! And all ordered through their drive through with your dairy order!! Always in love with Ice cream Here is my family sundae go big or go home!!
Lovely place for icecreams. They are very generous with quantity and there is no compromise on the quality. Generous quantity is an understatement. Make sure you know the quantity before you buy a lot. I bet if you buy like usual, you will end up wasting it.
Probably best ice cream I've ever had but very disappointed that there's no listing of pricing anywhere there sites constantly mention products but never mention price.... will give 5 star if they decide to actually add pricing for there product as in a world of technology why do I have to walk there to see the pricing or call? Almost every other business out there provides price why can't you it's past 2020 get with the times....
My wife swears by Kawartha ice cream and it's definitely great quality ice cream! However, I find it quite pricey and not exactly worth the detour. It's somewhat equivalent to Baskin-Robbins or the premium private labels found in grocery stores. But when we're in Barrie and want to give the kids a treat, it's a very good choice.
Absolutely delicious ice-cream, ice-cream cakes, milkshakes. Their other milk based products are also very good. Excellent value for money. The variety is mind boggling. If I have counted right, they have 36 flavours of ice-cream!!! The staff are a happy lot. Service is warm and courteous. I love their seating which is spacious and has a window front. The best ice cream I've ever had. Expect a bit of a wait. It's almost always crowded and for good reason.
Ice cream is great, staff is always friendly and welcoming. The funny part is.. i dont come here for the ice cream initially... its terrys hotsauce. But, the ice cream is the bonus!
Went there last night at 8:50 PM. They had their door locks with two girls inside cleaning. I knocked on the door and one of the girls replied that they were close. I reply, but you’re open for another 10 minutes because you’re close at nine. They said they close early today and I reply if you’re closing early, please update your website because I drove 30 minutes just to come here and waste of my time. Please be open when you say you are otherwise, I’ll just start going to another ice cream shop that respects their hour of operation.
