Loved the takoyaki and how big the octopus pieces were inside each one! Food was really good but just wished we were given a bigger table because the plates are huge and the tables are really small so it felt a bit cramped. Nonetheless, the server was really nice and we overall enjoyed our food. Will come back soon!
I loved all the appetizers! The chicken katsu itself was pretty good but I felt as though the dish required much more curry sauce to enjoy it. Moreover, I wish the place had a more vibrant atmosphere. All in all, I enjoyed my time here and would come again!
I am.not a fan of deep fried food but once in a while we go greasy. My review, it will base from my bf who eat a lot a lot and some international competition about chef. What he said is : it good. It perfect cook. It have to be like that. This is good. sorry guy i give 4 star just because i am not a fan of it. But will come back sometime.
I’m a poke bowl lover and I usually have a poke more than twice a week. I heard that they released several poke bowl menus and I visited straightforward to try them. This poke is THE BEST in London! There were many ingredients in a bowl and all the amount of ingredients was balanced. I had a salmon and a Karaage poke this time, I’ll try other things ASAP. Highly recommended
Came here on a Sunday night with my girlfriends and had a good time. All the fried goodies were freshly prepared but we don’t need to wait long. The pork can use a little bit more salt but it is just right after I dip into the sauce. Portions are big! Yum yum and we will be back for more.
An easy 4 stars! At first I had thought the meals were a little overpriced since KatsuMe down the street is a few dollars cheaper for the same dish. I was pleasantly surprised when our server brought our food out on almost comically large plates - the serving sizes are enormous! The food is also very good! My only minor complaints are the rice being a little hard and dry; and the amount of sauce you get is not enough in my opinion extra sauce being advertised directly under the dish almost makes the lack of sauce feel purposeful. The katsu itself is really good - the breading has a nice crispy crunch and the chicken was juicey. The sides are tasty but nothing special. Our servers were attentive and polite, and the interior was bright and exceptionally clean. If its in your budget to spend over $20 on the meal alone, and you're particularly hungry, this place is great! If your appetite is a little snaller, or you'd rather save a few dollars, other katsu places might be better for you.
Just delicious. Amazing good and great staff. Customer service is top notch, so polite and genuinely happy to serve their customers. : We orders takoyaki, spicy chicken Katsu and pork Katsu. They were super tasty and yum! Will definitely come back again :
It isn't our first time at Katsuya, and they do not disappoint every time we come to dine in. Their katsu sauces are delicious, modern, but are still on point Japanese cuisine. What makes their katsu different from other katsu is their bread crumbs! I guess housemade bread crumbs really makes a difference. The service is always top notch, shout out to our server Selina last night who made the recommendation to try the Red Carbonara Katsu. It was spicy good!!
Glad to see the London food scene growing with the addition of Katsuya which offers Japanese katsu deep fried cutlets of pork, chicken or fish. We got the takoyaki $6.55 to start and then the Garlic Chili Pork Katsu $18 & Honeycomb Pork Katsu $17.75. Generous portion sizes but pricey for London. Overall, the pork was moist and crispy on the outside which paired well with the sauces. Would come back again to try their other menu items including udon and fried chicken.
Very happy that I went in for a sit down dinner at Katsuya London. The dinning room ambiance was laid back n casual. Exactly my thing. I was looking for some soup that was deep rich n thick and I found exactly that in the Red Carbonara Udon. It has shrimp, scallops and thick soft noodles in a sweet but very spicy creamy thick n luscious sauce. It was absolutely delicious. I will be going back for that again right in the winter. I think it's a perfect thing for winter. I ate this at 4pm and I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day.
