It was okay drinks were good, atmosphere great.
I loved this place on my visit. Excellent service, clean and well kept. Owner and bar tender were very hospitable, and the local patrons were very welcoming to me as an out of towner kind of. Must stop for a cold beer when in Evanston.
It's good to have a local bar with so many things to do, play the slots, pool, dartboard, great bar snacks, diet sodas and most of all a fully stocked bar so your beautiful bartender can make your favorite cocktail But when you go try out the outdoor sitting area to either have a smoke, people watch or just nothing at all. It is a very cool place to hang.
What a great place to enjoy a cold beverage. The drinks always taste better here. The people are very friendly and polite. The staff is very attentive and in good spirits. The atmosphere is just right. Definitely the place you will make a trip back to Evanston for.
For it being my first time in there they show great hospitality and the patrons was very friendly....the only reason it was not a five star was because the pool sticks was all bowed and most of them even didn't have a tip on it ...Wich would have been more excepting if the games was only 50 cents
Best bar in town, bartenders are friendly and always greet me quickly with a smile. They make it a goal to memorize people's orders and make me feel at home. Love all the bartenders at Kate's. :
Super cool place to hang out for cocktails & beers. The staff is friendly and great selections of both beers and libations. Our visit last week was the first time we went to Kates. Fun bar, great atmosphere and friendly folks. A MUST place to visit when in Evanston.
Cool little bar. No big party but there are genuine people in there. If you’re looking for a drink and a conversation buddy this is the place.
Service, beer selection, and thin crust pizza all excellent. Kate's is away from the anywhere places near the freeway. Feels local and comfortable. Servers are pros. Definite find for I-80 travellers.
All the various sauces here are so unique and delicious. Uptight people should avoid this bar/restaurant and spare us fun folks - because this is an awesome space, historical building, great service, and delicious food!
