Went to Karl's Country Market after a friend recommended it. Really impressed with the selection of sausages. I got the bockwurst and weisswurst that were frozen and I'll try them later. I also got the skinless chicken breasts and the stuffed bacon and cheddar stuffed chicken breast and they were solid. I got the cheddarwurst, smoked bratwurst and the 3 alarm sausage that I have yet to try but am intrigued for sure. The beef snack sticks are really good. Seriously, give it a shot. You always pay more going to a butcher but you always get better quality and variety.
Excellent priced lunch, overall excellent!!! Deli and meat departments have one of the largest selection of items I couldn't possibly pronounce. Sausage, brats, custom blends and meats are always fresh. Great local butcher. Highly recommend!!
I had to make a trip to the north side of Milwaukee and decided to try products from 2 sausage shops. Karl's has a impressive display of products and pride them selves with all the awards they have won. I purchased summer sausage, bacon and beef jerky. The bacon was the best off all 3 and the summer sausage a 7 out of 10. I will stop again in 2 weeks and update any new findings.
The meats are great there, it’s just that it feels very strange in the store as a non white person. They added what feels like a cultural sensitivity aisle with out her countries snacks which is nice, just a bit over compensating. Every time I checkout there the older folk are all smiles with the other customers but when someone that looks not white walks up the smiles and small talk disappear. Aside from the weird race issue this place has great meats and selection.
Bought some pulled pork. Absolutely the worst I have ever had. Included 3/4" pieces of cartilage. They said that was normal and to be expected.
Chicken cordon bleu sausages cooked in butter and oil might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. No exaggeration.
If you don't mind spending just a little more. Not that much more. This is the place that makes us happy. If you want to put meat on the grill. Inch thick steaks or pork chops & all sorts of other things.

Went in Sunday morning for hot ham and rolls, disappointing. They wrapped it in foil, pretending it was hot ham, psych! You lost more consumers. Sign outside says “Hot Ham”.
