Story

At Karate John's, our goal is to develop confidence, respect, and discipline in our students while having fun learning practical self‑defense skills. We are character builders. Students are taught that karate is for self‑defense, not fighting. They are taught that the skills learned are not to be practiced on their siblings, family members, neighbors, classmates, or at the playground.

We offer age-specific karate, ju-jitsu, kickboxing, and cage fitness classes in the Cicero/North Syracuse area and our family-friendly atmosphere can't be beat!

Matt Barnell is a great karate teacher he a has taught me so much in my years of training and the Demo team is great if u have the chance go see them! Karate Johns is for Karate,Kickboxing and Fitness.When u get to black belt training Karate John makes u work harder then you've ever worked in your life! I would recommend this place to anyone except bullies

It started out with just our daughter taking karate lessons. It has taught her so much. Her self confidence and self discipline has increased beyond belief and she has so much fun during classes. The instructors are amazing with the kids and they help teach the kids some valuable lessons. Now my husband has started taking karate lessons and says they are a great work out. I myself am starting kick boxing and am looking forward to all that I can learn from this great place!!

I am new to the martial arts world. I chose a great place to start. The kickboxing program is not only fun, but challenging! I have learned so much in a short time and can't wait for more! The instructors are knowledgeable, helpful and so encouraging. Classes are small enough that you get the individual attention that is, at times, needed. There is a stripe program that is pushing me to the next level. I can't wait for more! Thanks!

BEST ALL AROUND FITNESS CENTER!!! I absolutely recommend Karate Johns for everybody and anybody. I joined the kickboxing class one month ago. I have a lot of health issues that held me back from doing exercise in the past, but Karate Johns worked with me every step of the way!! I have so far lost 22 pounds and can do so much more! The atmosphere feels like family. You get the support of a group with also feeling like one on one. Everyone is really there for you. It's a win win place for overall health, mental and physical!! Great center for kids as well, to mom's and dad's out there. This place builds self esteem, and gives structure! I have no regrets and am a die hard fan!
