Kapit Bahay Filipino Restaurant

Ordered food through uber. Food arrived it was hot and looks good. But the size of food given was very disappointing for the price you pay. Especially the fish size. We should have bought Chinese food. We probably could get more dishes and larger quantity of food on delivery for the same price. Not recommended for take out.

A great place to get halo halo on a hot summer day! Combo 1 includes noodle or rice any side dish and a drink. We got two halo halos and combo 1 for $21

I frequented this restaurant for take-out a few times several years ago. As a non-Philipino, I always felt like I was being stared at by the sit-down diners, so — petty as it was — I stopped going. Flash forward several years... I decide to give it another try and pre-order using Uber Eats. When I go to pick up my order, I’m completely ignored by staff and have to wait almost 10 minutes until I’m able to get someone’s attention. I then bring the food over to my mom’s house and the first thing she says to me is, “You went there? I tried ordering food once but they ignored me so I walked out.”

Great food and service! Lots of variety and offerings such as Breakfast buffet on weekends, live bands and hall rentals. The owner was accommodating and always smiling, good spot to go to when you have filipino food craving

I'm not an expert on Filipino food by any means, but I really did enjoy the food from Kapit Bahay! My past Filipino food experiences have mainly involved Jollibee and BBQ pork skewers from small establishments. My first visit to Kapit Bahay was met with disappointment as they were almost completely sold out of food within 1 hour of closing. I returned around lunchtime another weekend and was not disappointed. I ordered the following...kinilaw, sinigang, bicol express, bbq pork skewer, filipino style spaghetti, turon, and hopia. None of the items were labelled so be prepared to ask lots of questions! The food was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. I used to go to Marcy Fine Foods over at Sheppard and Victoria Park for all my filipino food cravings...but I think I've found a closer option in Kapit Bahay. I'll definitely be back to try their other offerings.
