Restaurant was completely empty on a summer Saturday evening at 6:30pm! Kind of strange that we were the only customers at dinner time. Waitress was nice and polite. Okonomiyaki was decent. Ramen was sub par and super oily. But DO NOT order the Kakimayo cheese, garlic mayo, and mushroom oyster!!! We got it based on photos in the reviews but were disappointed. The oyster was so fishy that it was off-putting. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reused the shell and put served canned oyster meat because the oyster was diced into tiny pieces and mixed with mushroom, so you couldn’t tell if they gave you the real stuff or not. It was definitely not worth $8 for the 2 oysters.
This is a hidden gen for quick heap eats. From the slushy to the ramen, even the fried chicken and chicken leg skewers this place has a surprising amount of flavour for the price. Atmosphere: 5/5 it's a small place but its nicely decorated. Food: 5/5 the food in this place is very good. There is a lot of flavour, and the food is fresh. I recommend the chicken wing skewers, the fried chicken, and the spicy shio ramen. Service: 4/5 service is friendly and fast it can get a bit bogged down mid afternoon when both people and takeout requests come in Quality: good quality for a great price! They even carry Hitachino nest beer, which is a treat try it if you have a chance Cost: 5/5 for the quality and amounts I feel this place is a bargain, try it there or as a takeout you wont regret it
Hidden gem in the area. For the price point and the taste, this is a great sushi bar! The ramen was my favourite. Noodles are soft, shoyu soup base was just right, egg was delicious and pork may need to melt a bit, but still tasted great! Recommend if you are in the area, and looking for Japanese food.
Nice cozy Japanese restaurant, with a menu including sushi/sashimi, yakitori and ramen. Prices are very fair, with main dishes ranging from $10 - $15. Garlic shoyu ramen that we tried this outing was particularly great. There is also a nice range of drinks available, from cocktails to Japanese beers.
Quick and fast service. There is only a certain amount of seating mainly in groups of 2-8 people although im sure it can accomodate more. The overall space is cozy. Food here is average priced and a good selection of rice, sushi or ramen options. Nothing is overly salty, although the rice can be on the saucier end good or bad depending on your preference. Meals at lunch come with soup and salad. Everything comes out very clean and well presented. Portions are just right not too much nor little. A good quick go to spot.
The best sushi restaurant in downtown with affordable and unique menu. The servers are very friendly and pays great attention to the customers. The place is cozy and food is great!
Please make reservations as they are always booked. We didn't and there was only patio and bar spaces available. We sat on the patio on a little chilly day. Overall the food was really good. They have a lot of small plates so my friend and I ended up ordering 6-7 different dishes to share. Would highly recommend it
Beautiful Japanese art and dishes adorned this quaint ramen noodle shop. Their creamy broth was delicious and the service was excellent.
Good price nice place with a fast service. We order two portions of ramen and one tray of sushi about 40 cad total.
Good food and friendly staff but not quite on the mark for izakaya. Is a great destination for family and friends who just want something informal and fun
