The best Afghan food I’ve had! The flavours were really authentic and the portions are quite big. Everything was perfectly spiced and the dumplings and fresh naan are amazing! The service was great and the staff was really friendly. Would definitely recommend! :
They have Afghan style dining and table area we took Afghan style area is big enough for group of 30 ladies. Staff are very friendly and lunch is reasonable price. Of course taste is good. I had a great time!
One of the best Kebabs I ever had. Price is pretty good compared to the quantity and the level of service. Every single item on the menu was pretty good. Real good level of satisfaction. Will go there again!
The gf and I usually choose between Raja’s Grill, Hot Plate and Kabob Garden when it comes to this kind of food. This location does not disappoint - the food is great, in good portions and comes out pretty quickly too. The staff are really polite and see to it that you are helped as soon as you walk in, no matter how busy they are. They have a variety of food here, many meat choices, veggie options and other delicious treats like their mango smoothies. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and want to try something new.
Delicious food. Warm and tasty. The first chicken kebab that was tasty, juicy and well seasoned. I had a great experience of lunch during a beautiful rainy day. The food was enough. The kind staff were really amazing. They offered me the Afghan Ferini for free. So delicious. Thank you. I do recommend this Halal restaurant. Will visit with my family again!
Great quality Afghan food. They have plenty of booths for sitting and they actually have a room where you can sit on the ground has rugs and cushions where you can comfortably sit and enjoy your food. The quality of the food is really good and the portions are very decent. Reasonable pricing as well. Their beef kabob and lamb Kofta was very good pictured.
My first time eating here and it didn't disappoint. Food was excellent and timely. The portion was huge, which is great. The beef kabob was seasoned well. Definitely going back.
The best Afghan restaurant. All the kabobs we ordered were juicy and tasty. We had chicken kofta, beef kofta, chicken tandoori, and lamb tikka. Will visit again to try other items in their menu.
The restaurant venue is excellent for family and friends to gather for fresh and well prepared food. The style of food in this restaurant is Afghani style more towards Kabul side and not Peshawar style Afghani food. The restaurant serves halal food even though the owners are Ismaili. All the items are halal. It is a family run restaurant and the staff are very kind. The seating is plenty and the place is very clean. They have private rooms to sit on carpets and tables also. The menu is well balanced. The execution is good. I am disappointed that the restaurant does not serve Chapli kebab please add it to your menu. Please also serve winter special dishes for the cold like beef or goat paya soup. Afghan karahi is famous , that was also missing from the menu. The dishes that are available are well prepared with good quality ingredients. The dishes I tried were very well made and authentic. The chutney is definitely fresh and they do not use ready made. What stands out is everything is fresh and clean and made with effort. Calgary has a very poor food culture. Most restaurants deliver low quality and lack creativity and authenticity. This one definitely puts much more effort. According to Canadian standards this restaurant definitely deserves above a 4 for quality of food. I would rate the food 4.5 max for Canadian standards but if I match it to afghani restaurants in USA I would rate the food 4 max and more around 3 if compared to Afghani food I have had in other parts of south Asia.
Really delicious food. Friendly staff and food were ready within 20 minutes. We ate a few different dishes, and they gave generous portions. Fresh Naan. I loved their lamb tikka.
